This is exactly my problem for the last few years. Now with all the national coverage this will get, people assume this bag of dicks is indicative of all Cubs fans. These are just the d-bags who can afford to spend $200 for a bleacher tickets nowadays. Smae with the morons who travel to STL and ATL.mchenrycards said:As one who literally used to be out there in the bleachers in Wrigley working to prevent these things from happening, since the fans are so close to the field its hard to prevent this type of stuff. Back when I worked for the team we instituted a plan to have security at the bottom row of bleachers down on the wall. It usually works well and prevents people from doing something stupid like this. We did have the occasional drunk that would think it was cool to give an outfielder a bath, but for the most part all of the fans thought it was just wrong to do this. Believe me, this is not a typical Chicago baseball fan. The bleachers have grown to be nothing more than a huge beer garden where people are there to be seen and not see the ball game. The security measures have been tightened up even more over the years so this is unusual for the most part.
I talked with a few guys I know that still work there and they have see great security video on the guy and are working with the CPD to make sure he is caught. Chicago media is making a huge deal out of this and putting the guys face all over the newspapers and TV. He will be caught and prosecuted. I honestly dont remember but this might be a felony because of the statutes now in place in Chicago. I could be wrong
I just hope Philly fans dont think this guy is indicative of Chicago fans. This guy was just a drunk a-hole who hopefully will get whats coming to him.
