Re: OFFICIAL- Vintage Pickup Thread.

Just made a deal for this tonight, but have to pay for it before I have it in hand. My favorite card in the set, and #95 overall!

Beautiful cards, JG and Martin. After a long drought, I finally have another T206 on the way.

Vintage is where it's at, Scotty!

I'd noticed that as well. There was a lull through early to mid summer and now everyones adding cards all over the place :)

It's fun when this site is active and even more fun when you are posting pickups of your own.
Jr. Griffey - Great Walter Johnson T206, I've always admired that card as well.
Martin - Your collection just continues to grow steadily, congratulations!

Great card, and welcome to the club! I think mine either got a 4 or 4.5. I'll have to double check. Great card, and congrats on the pickup! Yours is in better condition, and mine is a little whiter. Its cool to see how different aspects of grading come into play in order to get the same grade.

Do most of you go by an "industry standard" cut off date for vintage?

I'm considering 1975 my cut off.

Alot of people have different views on the cut off year, I tend to lean towards 1979 and before but it seems like I change from 1975 to 1979 every other year.
