Do most of you go by an "industry standard" cut off date for vintage?

I'm considering 1975 my cut off.

i think 1975 was THE last great year for Topps Sets

I have to partially agree, I know I may be in the minority but the first vintage set I put together was 1976 topps and it has sentimental value to me. I love the set.

Re: OFFICIAL- Vintage Pickup Thread.

I purchased a 1954 PSA 5 Mantle card, using the $200 Bing money from the purchase of the 1951 Mantle toward my purchase.
I "only" need the 1952 Bowman, 1952 Topps, 1953 Bowman and 1953 Topps to complete the regular issue Mantle cards, where he is pictured alone.

Re: OFFICIAL- Vintage Pickup Thread.

With these two, I just need Keeler to have a representation of all the HOFers from the T206 set, not including Wagner and Plank which I will never own.

At least you have a percentage on those two sets.

A little something different for me, I know, I can't focus! At least it's still the Reds.

Re: OFFICIAL- Vintage Pickup Thread.

Nice job with all the Robinsons so far. Sorry If I had missed it in the past, but are you trying to get all his big/main issue cards in EX 5?
