I was just looking through an old Lelands' auction catalog and saw a section on unopened packs from the '60s and '70s.

Do you own any old unopened packs or boxes?

I have a couple of unopened wax boxes from '86-'90 that I thought would be cool to keep for a few decades and then open them.
Of course, now they're worthless and I have little desire to open them. But they're still cool to have unopened, with the exclusive box cards printed on the bottom.

So what do you own? I know Eric has some cool stuff.

None at all (I know, why post then...?)

I just could never keep them sealed. I tried in the mid 80's to hoard unopened stuff and had amassed a good ammount of 1973 - 1985 product of all sports but as the prices boomed my pockets filled with profit and I sold everyting... Now the notion of keeping unopened product never even crosses my mind. Mostly because I only buy a pack here, a blaster there, perhaps a box once in a while. I went in to the light and became a singles buyer long ago...

At least 1 box of Topps 1974-current; several cases of 1993 Finest, 1996 Select Certified, 1997 Pinnacle Certified, and other 90s products.

Several of each wax cases from 82-86, fleer, donruss, topps. Also alot of 85 Cello boxes. Had some rack cases of 89 fleer that got destroyed when my basement flooded. Oldest loose packs are a couple dozen 77topps, but I've horded boxes/cases 82, 83, 84, 86Fleer. 82, 83, 85,86Donruss. 82, 83, 84, 85Topps. I open a couple boxes a year for fun, but I've got them sitting there. Also 3 rack cases of 1990 topps. Just opened 1 recently for fun. Maybe all of this will have value later on in life, but more importantly its fun to crack a box or two a year and re-live the past.

lol, you have about as much of a chance of seeing unopened wax at my house as you have in seeing a dinosaur. I cant even keep factory sets sealed. What fun are they if you cant look at them.
