What about a weekly comic strip? Allow users to submit their own comics relevant to the week's events or something hobby related, and choose the best each week to go up on the FCB Blog or a stickied post.

All it takes is something as simple as a photo and MS Paint to throw in a caption, or as advanced as making a few frames for a full strip.

I know you're a pretty busy guy, but I'm sure somebody would run it for you.

This might be a lot of work but what if you held a "June Madness" tournament. You could let everyone enter until the end of next week and then you could draw up a giant bracket with head to head matchups with one member pitted against another member. Then each member would have to pick the winner of each baseball game that night with a tie breaker of how many runs will be scored in a chosen game. Whomever picks the most games correctly would move on in the bracket. Wash, rinse and repeat until you have a sweet sixteen and then maybe take a break to promote those members still in it. FBC could put up prizes for the final four or you could have each entrant paypal over a small amount to enter and use that for prizes. I think that would be pretty fun, this is just a rough draft of something I thought up off the top of my head so I'm sure there are more details to work out but I'd be up for it.

Something like this may have already been done , but I was thinking since it is a lot of prospect talk there could be a FCB top 100 prospects at the halfway point of the baseball season. Then for each prospect you choose a member to compose a writeup and they could use the space toto show off stashes, etc.

There could also be a separate discussion thread for everyone on the board to discuss the list and those who composed it could use it to say why they picked one player over another when it came to the ranking.

This wouldn't cost any money and I feel if only ten or so were released a week it could be something like the Hot List that members anticipate.

I'm not really a fan of the points per posts suggestion. Many with large post counts have them for being helpful, but I think we all could agree that many have large post counts simply because they like to post and seldom have something useful to say. Do we really want to encourage more useless posts simply so someone can get something?

If this is about my idea, I never said points per-post. Just 100 total points for everyone over 100 posts.

What about a million card giveaway type thing? Codes could redeem singles, memorabilia, gift cards, boxes, packs, FCB promo cards, etc. One code given for each junk auto/gu sent to the FCB store. Prizes could be traded or shipped out (user pays shipping). Store benefits while we have fun.

Another idea I had would be to have a contest to find the best alternative uses for "junk wax era" baseball cards. Viewers could send in photos or videos of creative ways to use "junk wax era" cards. I've always tried to think of new ways to use these things and I've seen everything from wallpaper to firewood, to people using them to make frescos. I think I saw someone build furniture out of them but I'm not sure on that. Anyways I bet people would submit some pretty cool uses.


One more idea would be a contest to see who could make the coolest card related video. I remember seeing a very creative video of some member destroying a worthless auto from the "Ali Collection". I thought it was fun to watch and if you had a thread with a bunch of videos that members made that related to cards I would watch them. You could put up a cool prize for motivation and then have a poll on which video was the best and the winner would get the prize.
