What is so special about Buster Posey?

I just don't see how his cards are worth what they have been selling for? His stats are slighty above average and he is 21 years old.

Jesus Montero plays for the Yankees, is 19 years old and hits HRs.

am i missing something?

another thing that adds to his value is that there arent many top draft picks with MLB RC's, also Montero is a redemption, which usually do not get redeemed for the top guys

A couple of thoughts here....

1. Did you ever watch Posey in college? Do you understand how good he was? Alot of people know Posey and he is a known asset. Many people have never seen montero play, including myself. The college world series keeps getting bigger and posey got extra exposure throughout the college playoffs.

2. Why not take advantage of the prices? Isn't it GOOD that they are cheaper so you can buy more? BUY BUY BUY if you are confident, that is the only way to really cash in.

You can learn a lot from watching the games instead of looking at stats. Posey was hands down the best player in NCAA ball last year. He is a lock to be a solid MLBer.
