I just don't see how his cards are worth what they have been selling for? His stats are slighty above average and he is 21 years old.

Jesus Montero plays for the Yankees, is 19 years old and hits HRs.

am i missing something?

Are you stuck on stupid...

Look at the date, this is when Montero was killing the ball in the minors.

Montero is killing the ball in the minors now too.

I like when people find old threads for review because what you say shouldnt' just disappear like a fart in the wind.

If you have to stand by what you say people might think before they speak.

Actually, that's not likely :)

I like it that everything written here is able to be found too, but I think this is a little ridiculous. People just like to jump on the "Haha, you said something dumb" bandwagon. It's too easy to do. Not singling you out, in fact this isn't directed at anyone in particular. I just think this kind of behavior is unnecessary. There are more positive way to focus one's brains cells and contributions on here, than jumping on something someone said nearly two years ago.

I agree that people are quick to jump on stuff, especially when taken out of context.

I guess i like it when someone clearly identifies something as a bumped post (not easy to do) for the purpose of revisiting a topic.

Perhaps if someone created a NEW post and linked to the old one in it or just quoted from it.

I think we can learn alot from what we thought we knew.

Montero isnt going to be a catcher, at least not with the Yankees. So, until he finds another position he is gonna be in Scranton.
Posey can hit, and he is a good catcher.

You sure about that?

Sincerely,
Mr. DH

If his bat is good enough, they will make room for him somewhere.

Where they gonna put him on the Yankees?

I would see a part time catching, part time DH-ing situation to ease him in.

He could split time with Posada like Varitek and Martinez did in '09 was it?

I think this is great. If a person makes a confident/arrogant prediction or statement and ends up looking like a fool I don't see why that shouldn't be pointed out.

They like Cirvelli a lot. Maybe if they put Posada at DH.

Posada's skills are seriously declining. Montero can be a part time catcher and DH.
The thing is is that Posada is still abetter catcher than Montero.
