I can tell you what it looks like.
It looks like there's a line of code in the style sheet that define the default minimum text box body size. For whatever reason, your browser is interpreting the ability of that box to be extended as it needing scroll bars for that purpose. You could try going back from Internet Explorer 8 to 7.. then back up to 8. Do that by "uninstalling" IE in Control Panel - since you can't remove IE from Windows it just backs you up to the previous version.

Can we PLEASE have the option for more total threads shown on the 1st page? Mine is at 24. That is ridiculously low for threads to be dropping off the 1st page.

I will consider doing that. It's a work computer so I typically don't do too much fiddling with software configurations, especially since I need it for our web platforms. Just pointing out whatever it is, it's effecting more than just me and came with the forum upgrade and makes it difficult to read some posts. Fortunately for me, my home PC works fine

Finally solved my scrollbar problem!!!

For anyone suffering the same fate of all the scroll bars, the fix that worked for me was that I noticed www.freedomcardboard.com was running in compatiability view. The settings for this can be found under IEs 'Tools' option in the menu bar and then listed on compatibility view settings. It also appears next to the URL bar box in the and the icon appears to be like a broken piece of paper. I disabled this button from being available as it must've been clicked by accident at some point.
