I think Braun is going to have to blow away the competition for the writers to vote for him again. Also Braun won last year with his team contention, while Kemp's team wasn't. With the Pirates in contention, McCutchen has the advantage.

It means that Braun thought he couldn't get caught once. In my mind he would do anything to get an edge. It's possible he is on something that any doping agency isn't even aware of. Desperate people do desperate things, like challenge the MLBs drug policy.

There's only been 3 Brewers fans so far, one of whom can separate his fanaticism, only one with blinders, and the other with rose colored love goggles. It was chain of custody not chain of command, and the MVP last year was won by the right guy at the time. That said and in hindsight, Braun totally cheated. This year? McCutchen

Kemp is at .331/.397/.589 with 17-53-56 in 275 AB (half a season). I'd say he's doing just fine.

It doesn't help his chances, but I can't see it hurting him if they falls just short. Braun won't make the playoffs either and the Giants aren't a lock. Statistically McCutchen is having a better season so far even taking into account position and should be the favorite to win unless Braun, Posey, or someone else finishes very strong.

That's not pollyannaish, that's not rose-colored glasses, and that's not blinders; it's ONLY what can be proven (or not proven in this instance).
