Is it the Phillies with Lee and Hamels. The White Sox with Peavy (When he comes back) and Danks, Buerhle, Floyd. The Giants with Lincecum and Cain. The Tigers with Verlander, Jackson, Washburn or the Red Sox, or someone else.

Cardinals - 1
Dodgers - 2

Its not all about 1-2 pitchers. I would put both of these teams 1-5 up against anyone's.

Hell, why not. I'll be a homer.

Carpenter
Wainwright
Piniero
Lohse

Carpenter and Wainwright would be tough to face back to back.

Phillies and other are 2 deep which is great, but you need 3 solids for the Playoffs

These playoffs are going to be fun with the Dodgers, Phillies and Cardinals.

I think that the good team have gotten better and the bad teams worse at the trade deadline.
Sam, I agree the playoffs will be fun across both leagues, I really like what Detroit did.

I'd make the argument for Blanton, with the exception of 1 game i believe, his past 2 months have been very good, past month great.

The funny part is I can't tell who the 2nd best pitcher on the Phillies is now, Hamels or Happ.

Yeah I forgot about Happ. But my point is Hamels has been doing pretty badly this year.

I get your point, but at the end of the day Cole needs to be right or they are done

I agree. If he doesn't pitch like he did last year I don't think they have a shot at the World Series.

The Phillies have a SICK team from top to bottom in my opinion.

The Dodgers, they don't really scare me so much. Maybe because the Cardinals just spanked them in a 4 game series, but I am more affraid of a Philly matchup in the playoffs than I am of a Dodgers.

So I think we have all came to a consensus agreement that St. Louis, Philly and LA are in the playoffs

But who else makes the NL playoffs?

SF, based on pitching, nice to have the Big Unit teaching them up.
