The Atlanta Braves have the top rotation in baseball. They are the deepest in the league 1-5.

Gotta agree with you blitzer.

JAvy and Jair may be the most underrated duo in all of baseball.

Both have been top 15 pitchers in the NL and most don't know the stats these two have put up.

I'd be willing to bet that outside of Lester-Beckett and Linecum-Cain, no two SP on one team has outperformed these two.

Carpenter-Wainwright and Vasquez-Jurrjens are very, very close.

Javier Vasquez: 8-7, 3.01 ERA, 158 K, 1.055 WHIP; Adam Wainwright: 12-6, 2.80 ERA, 135 K, 1.29 WHIP
Jair Jurrjens: 9-7, 2.69 ERA, 93 K, 1.201 WHIP; Chris Carpenter: 9-3, 2.19 ERA, 78 K (Missed a few starts, only has 16), .96 WHIP

But are the Cardinals other 3 pitchers on the same league as Hanson, Lowe, and KK? The Braves strength is in their depth, everyone in the rotation is solid.

The Braves also have a great bullpen, only 1 person in it has an ERA over 4.0.[/quote:3qb7m26c]

Bingo.

As an Astros fan,I hate to agree, but this side of Oswalt, I LOVE Javy.

Anyways, the Braves 1-5 is the BEST in baseball, IMO.

Joel Pineiro, the 3rd starter, is 9-9, 2.84 ERA, 61 K, 1.07 WHIP.

Kyle Lohse, has just a few starts since the DL, but he's been for the most part, very good. 6 IP, 1 ER last time out.

The 5th starter doesn't really matter, but Mitch Boggs is definitely serviceable.

The Cardinals bullpen has been really good as well, but they could use one more veteran. Hopefully they can acquire one. The lefthanded relievers, Miller and Reyes, have been great.
