Bummer, Farrell finally came to his senses and said he should have pinch hit for Workman.Guess the Cardinals won't have anymore automatic outs in the 9th inning again.

Also sounds like Craig can play if needed, X-rays negative.Just heard Victorino is out too.

I agree.
To act like this was cut and dry "obstruction" is a stretch. It was a judgement call that could have been validated either way.

It is cut and dry. And take it from someone who wants the Red Sox to win b/c I do not like the Cardinals...at all. Its fact, Craig tripped over Middlebrooks while he was in the baseline trying to advance to the next base = obstruction.

Every one can try to throw little and absurd notions like "his first move was towards first base" or "Craig could've avoided Middlebrooks" etc etc...but the cold hard facts are, Craig was trying to score, he was in the baseline and he tripped over a defensive player. It is obstruction.

Was watching from bar when it happened, and was certain Craig was easily out watching it live.I was pissed the Cardinals were going to have 2 runners thrown out at home on one play, and knocked some stuff off the bar.Thought umpire at home blew call.Never even thought was was any obstruction until someone next to me mentioned it.Sucks to lose a game like that, just the way the ball bounces sometimes.

Sure wish Matheny would wake up and pull Jay out of the lineup once and for all.Year after year he is awful in the playoffs.Game 5 is a must win, just don't see winning both games at Fenway Park.

And another point, I find it hilarious that many Red Sox fans are up in arms about this, when their staring pitcher clearly cheated in game one, and virtually nobody has complained about it.
Wow...

Why didn't any of the Cardinals hitters/manager ask the umpire to check Lester's glove? Oh wait, it's because his pitches were not breaking any more than they have all season. Ross handed plenty of balls to the ump, why did he not notice any foreign substance on the ball? Hmm.....because clearly he cheated. Clearly. ::rollseyes::

And yet still no Cards fans have replied to your running of the mouth. Until now
Oh well we will get you tomorrow. Sucks to lose that way much like it did for you guys on Saturday
so the beat goes on. My point is none of us came here to XXXXX/moan etc etc. Just saying hopefully
you guys learn something from this no matter who wins. Enjoy baseball for what it is: a game.
End.

I was wondering about this. I think its interesting that Yankee fans are bringing this up.

I think it should be a pitcher's duty to be a master at bunting.

No, but I also notice the lack of rosin as they claimed it was. Strange you would think it would still be there.

The only thing I thought would still be there are his 95 mph gas, crippling cutter, and nasty hook.

Go Sox!!!!!! 3-1!!!!!
