This is awesome. These are the exact same predictions as the NLCS. Giants losing in 4 or 5 games. Rangers clearly have a lot more thump in their lineup but the Giants pitching can neutralize it. Just like they did the Phillies.

Agreed but how much of the Phillies sucking was the quality of the Giants pitching or just that a lot of hitters were slumping? I just don't think we can give all the credit to the Giants pitching when clearly some Phills hitters didn't look comfortable at the plate. That being said with the Giants have great pitching but the Rangers offense has been looking good, what will happen?

The question was who do you think is going to win the WS, not who do you want to win the WS, so add another 20% to the Rangers count for people voting incorrectly :)

Vladdddddyyyyyyy's DUE!

After seeing the interviews about what this means to him I can't help but want it that much more.

We'll see how well the Rangers do with one less batter 4 out of the 7 games.
Yeah because the Giants pitchers are sluggers.

You can't make that comparison. Both the Giants and the Rangers will be at a disadvantage in each other's home parks due to the DH or lack thereof. The AL teams are built with the DH as a key component of the lineup. Whereas the Red Sox could stick Ortiz at 1B for a game or two, the Rangers aren't going to be able to use Vlad more than 1 AB/game. In Texas, the Giants don't have a 9th hitter to slot into DH because NL teams aren't built for it.

The Rangers are going to batter the Giants.
Lincy being selfish - running himself out there to get battered by the Phillies was stupid. He will not be sharp for the Series. A quick bullpen and throwing B.P. to light hitting Phillies hitters was funny. The Rangers will work over the Giants staff.

LOL! That was Bochy's idea. He wanted Lincecum to get the 8th so Wilson only needed a 3 out save. Plus that was just like his side session, we also have Matt Cain who can pitch at home.

You guys lose one of your sluggers, we aren't saying that Giants pitchers are sluggers, besides Sanchez LOL. We can put Sandoval or Burrell as a DH.

That makes no sense at all.
I was kidding. You make it sound like because the Ranger's pitchers will have to bat that they are at a huge disadvantage. The Giants will be in the same boat and its not like their pitchers are all that great at hitting because they do have at bats unlike the Rangers. Should be some good games though.

They are at a disadvantage. The Giants have played all year with the pitcher batting eighth. Whether it's the right positioning or not, Vlad has been the Rangers clean up hitter. He's not going to be in the lineup. You can't say that just because the Giants are batting the pitcher, it's a wash, the Rangers definitely lose.

• Vladimir Guerrero. Washington said his designated hitter will start in right field in one of the first two games in San Francisco. The designated hitter will not be used in the National League park, so Guerrero will start in one game and David Murphy will start in the other alongside Josh Hamilton and Nelson Cruz. Washington said he hasn't decided which game Guerrero will start.

"You can bet we'll find a way to get Vlad in there," Washington said.

So he's going to start 4 out of the first 5 games? I can live with that!

Vlad will be a huge defensive liability in Right Field in SF. There's no way he can cover enough ground out there to be effective.

Dude, deal with the fact the Giants pitchers are better than you think. You claim Lincecum is throwig terribly and only winning because he's "lucky". Or that Matt Cain only wins because of errors, or that all of their velocity is down so the other team must be in a slump. Deal with it the Giants are in the Series and the Rays, Phillies, Yankees and the rest of baseball are at home watching.
