Awesome story, goes to show as much as fans can hate other teams, players are players and that's a big family with connections most would never realize.

I saw that the other day - terrific read.
Stuff like that transcends the laundry. I remember George Steinbrenner giving big money to the Red Sox' Jimmy Fund telethon every year. I didn't hear if the sons continued it this year, but I assume they did.

I do remember hearing something about the Yankees donation during the telethon.

Wow, that's incredible.Good to know they'll disregard a game when it comes to helping out someone who is truly in need. Heartwarming story, for sure.

A lot of people on here could learn from a article as this. But sometimes it is not about money, you can
volunteer your time as well to helping others.
