Glad we were able to add one to our collections! Get any others?

Nope. Tried talking some sense into him about the price of the 1998 Legacy Collection based on it being the one without his name on the back and the last one barely getting $110 in auction but he didn't respond. Maybe he'll come down after it doesn't sell. You get any others?

You have any dupes you'll trade for the Mirror Red? I just got it because it was a decent deal and because I missed out on your Finest gold.

The he finest gold was my main want but that took basically all my PayPal so I didn't get anything else. The only dupes have been sent to medoogan to sell soon on eBay.

I’ve lurked on this thread long enough. Time to jump in.

My name is T.J. I am an avid Griffey collector from New Orleans, and I write The Junior Junkie, a blog focused on Griffey cards (but that touches on other players and sets as well). My Griffey collection currently stands at 3,872 unique Griffeys (7,346 total).

I stopped collecting Griffey when I went to college, but returned to the hobby almost four years ago. When I realized how much cheaper I could get what used to be multi-thousand-dollar cards, I started picking them off one by one. I have most of the biggies including the ’94 UD Griffey/Mantle dual auto, ’97 A Cut Above, ’97 UD Game Jersey, ’93 Finest Refractor, all the Tiffany rookies – you know: the glamour cards.

Nothing like you guys, though. You go deep. This thread has taught me some serious humility. I’ve shifted focus from quantity to quality over the last year, but I am not yet on the level of magicpapa or peapod. You guys are my heroes. I don’t even have a single true 1/1 yet.

The only Junior card I have that some of you may not is one Upper Deck sent me through their Random Acts of Kindess program because of my Wallet Card photos (http://upperdeckblog.com/2015/03/whats-in-your-wallet-see-how-an-upper-deck-fan-shares-his-upper-deck-wallet-card-at-mardis-gras). It’s an 18”x25” autographed 25th Anniversary promo card /25 which I had framed in a shadowbox (http://thejuniorjunkie.blogspot.com/2015/04/framing-giant-baseball-card.html). I’m pretty certain magicpapa has one as well.

So yeah, I thought I’d say hi. Come check out the blog if you’re so inclined.
