Over the last 10+ years, my collection focus has changed many, many times. I was 16 years old when I started opening packs again and really started to collect cards. Im a huge Twins fan, so I was going after any and everything that had a Twins logo on it. Then I started focusing more on the relics and autographs only, while having player PCs of Joe Mauer and Denard Span. Most of those collections are gone, aside from a select few cards.
Then I got bit by the memorabilia bug- signed photos, signed baseballs, and full game used items.

Ive always enjoyed the history of the game as well (my wife and I hit up Cooperstown on our honeymoon a couple of years back), and decided to start collecting autographs of the greats of the game. I still have a couple of smaller card collections- mostly Twins patches, but the HOF autographs are the cards that I will never intend to sell.

I dont add to the collection as much as I'd like to, but will snag one here or there if its a good deal. My goal is to have on card autographs when possible, but do make exceptions at time (like the Lasorda you'll find below). Some of the sticker autos were too good of deals to pass up and I have intentions of upgrading them when possible (looking at the Winfield below- tough to pass up for less than $10). I also plan to upgrade to licensed cards with logos for some of these as well (besides the aforementioned Lasorda.

One final note- the majority of the cards in this post have come from the members of this board through trades, purchases, and even some very generous gifts. Without this board, this collection wouldn't be here, even if it's mostly low end stuff right now.

Please ignore some of the crappy pictures (ok, most of the pictures are pretty bad, haha) and scratched one touches 20200826_134508.jpeg20200826_134037.jpeg20200826_134821.jpeg20200826_134521.jpeg20200826_133714.jpeg20200826_134614.jpeg20200826_134729.jpeg

Great collection! There’s a remarkable amount of history here, so many all-time greats and you have cards from some great looking sets.

Good start. Be careful, it can be addicting and ext thing you know, you'll be one of those guys in the mid 200s saying there isn't much more room to go.

Nice collection! I really like the Ray Dandridge, Whitey Ford & Harmon Killebrew. I don't want to intrude on your thread so I need to get scanning and start a thread. I hope you don't mind.

Thanks! I'm generally pretty selective, which is part of the reason I don't have more right now. Not gonna lie, I'm a big fan of some of the Finest autos for HOFers. Seeing some of the older pictures on chrome cards is a nice change of pace for some of the older players. The Ozzie Smith and Lou Brock cards are a couple of my favorites

Haha, I cheap out on a few things and generally back out of hitting place bid on a lot of stuff. I still need to add a Harmon Killebrew signed baseball to my collection, but I'm always telling myself that I can find one cheaper, when in reality, I probably can, but the ones I pass on aren't at a bad price either. Debating if I should keep this thread to just the cards, or include the 8x10s and baseballs as well. I'm up to 32 8x10s and 26 baseballs. The baseball count includes a couple of guys that I have signed on a regular Rawlings OMLB and then on a HOF logo baseball

All 3 of those cards are from members on this board! Can't remember how long ago I got the Dandridge and Ford, but I can still tell you which members they came from!

Nice collection. I am whitey ford fan and love that auto. I'm more a fan of his cards then his game as he was my first card that I got that wasnt a 80s or 90s card back in the day.

If I didn't start buying when I did, I would be much less further along on everything I collect. I suppose just about anyone can say that and as stuff continues to rise in value, even newer collectors will be able to say that for some things.

I was pretty active in the early ebay days, buying up vintage, HOF autos and oddball stuff. I consider myself lucky even at that point, but man if I would have read those TCMA catalogs closer and actually bought some stuff...What if?

I'll add on to the Whitey Ford love too, as this is the first card I ever remember seeing of his, and his last as it turned out. Probably my favorite Ford because of that reason. I am pretty sure I have the original signed and I am betting Danny does for sure!

Went through and got pictures of my HOF signed baseballs today. Goal is to have as many with HOF inscriptions, but like other inscriptions as well. Also trying to get HOF logo baseballs signed by guys that played with the Twins at some point throughout their career. Baseballs can be tough since it doesn't take much to cause the ball to tone or the signature to bleed.

Awe man, just realized that the pictures of the baseballs are all sideways for some reason. They weren't when I took them and uploaded. Sorry about your necks if you're look at the baseballs!

Had a nice little mail day. Saw these posted on Facebook while I was in a meeting at work. Snatched them up during the meeting since it was a good deal. Rpbin Roberts and Steve Carlton signed baseballs. Both with inscriptions!20200831_125320.jpeg20200831_125326.jpeg
