Big '90s pickup for me:

1998 Elite Master Craftsmen Ben Grieve 046/100. As you would expect for a 1998 card /100, these don't show up too often. The last time I saw one was several years back, I really wanted it but I was outbid. That was what kind of turned me around to start actually paying up for the cards I really wanted and stop buying so much stuff I didn't care a lot about. Now that this one is in hand I guess my number one most wanted Grieve is the 1998 StarQuest Home Run/100.

2001 Ultra Platinum Medallion Eric Chavez 44/50 gets my set needs down to 2. 1997 Leaf Fractal Matrix Canseco finishes off the team set...unfortunately it's pretty beat up with lots of surface scratches. For some reason it's been pretty tough to find so I had to settle for it, but I'll grab a better condition one if the opportunity should arise for the right price. 1998 Bowman Golden Anniversary 11/50 Chris Enochs gets my set needs down to 4.

Lastly, a couple of 2024 Topps parallels.
1998 Elite Master Craftsmen Love that card. I have not seen a Juan in 4 years. Luckly, I have 5 Juan's.

Made a Probstein donation to finally grab an Elite Craftsmen at a proper price. Also grabbed the 04 Essential Credentials /17. Not a fan of most ECs (especially at recent nutcasery prices) but even when cheaper, i find most of clemens ECs to be too gawdy to actually lust over lol (yes, even the Pink one!). This one was a cool looking one tho. Craftsmen will look great under LED lights in Refractor Row

New 2024 '89 auto of Eckersley. 2007 UD Black "base card" of Dan Haren 47/75 completes the small team set. 1933 Goudey Dib Williams gets me 3 away from the team set, but two of those are Jimmie Foxx cards that sell for quite a bit. Lastly, the first addition to my signed '88 Topps set in a while, Mike Diaz. This gets my needs down to 14 cards, two of which should be fairly inexpensive like the Diaz if I could only find them, and the final dozen that will mostly be $100+ because I'd like them to be authenticated and they're rare sigs or big stars.

Palmiero /25 Recollections

Some local stuff. love those early shots of Seattle. It seems like it was forever ago, but that is only a little under 50 years ago. My how the waterfront has changed. For those unfamiliar, most of what you can see in this photo is adjacent to the Puget Sound just out of view on the left side of the photo.

For the trophy collection I now dabble lightly with. I also needed his signature after buying a similar named player a while back, thinking it was Eloy. This is /9

Great design, semi-star from the past that nobody cares about and I get this for around $6

Vintage lineup cards are always extremely tough to find, and often there is a story behind them.

I was able to purchase a small collection (6 pieces) of 1960's Yankees lineup cards from the son of a former boxer who also did some security gigs. He sent me a picture of him and his Dad with Roger Maris.

The small collection included HR lineup cards from Mantle and Maris.

After someone was looking for a certain 78 Topps Auto in a facebook group, I went looking on ebay and happened upon this Easler for cheap that was shown signed in the pic, not advertised as signed in the title or description. I also didn't see anything about generic pics, so I took a chance, planning to point this out if I got an unsigned one.

It arrived today, just as pictured. Nice! Scary to think this set is 46 years old now! My rookie year as a collector.

2003 Topps Tribute World Series Gold/100 is one of those randomly popular sets that goes for a little more than you think it would. Glad to get the Reggie, though I'm still 4 short of a team set. The Tyler Soderstrom Refractor auto was a $100+ card not very long ago, but he kind of crapped his pants in the majors last year and will start this season in AAA. He's still only 22 so he's got time to work it out. Snagged this copy for $36.

2004 Upper Deck Vintage Black & White has some easy and some very tough cards in in...finally found a Mulder base parallel (he has a subset card that's super easy) which leaves me 1 short of the team set. Miguel Tejada 2001 Upper Deck Exclusives Silver 077/100 finally completes that team set. 2007 Upper deck Gold 64/75 Bobby Crosby does not complete the set, still 4 to go. 2002 Fleer Fall Classics Rival Factions is one of those stupid sets that has retail and hobby versions where the only difference is that the hobby cards are serial numbered. To complicate it more, a portion of the hobby set is /1000, some are /500, and some are /50. Foxx/Ott 14/50 finishes up all A's cards in the hobby and retail sets.

Lastly, some pickups from recent sets. I need to be more vigilant about searching for the 2024's.
