Is AJ Burnett in the Cy Young Discussion?

In the discussion? Absolutely. Front-runner? Not a chance. Good choices by others, but that RA Dickey guy is the front-runner. Leads the league in wins, complete games, shutouts, strikeouts. He's number two in IP (three behind Kershaw who has pitched one more game than Dickey), number four...

Adam Dunn might hit 600 HR, would he make the HOF?

Many also considered McGwire one of the best power hitters of the '80s and '90s. Dunn has never been considered one of the great power hitters. McGwire has led the league in HR's four times, Dunn never has. McGwire's career OPS is also about 100 points higher than Dunn's. McGwire also...

eBay Fall Seller Update - Fee for ending auctions early.

Would love if they do a huge reunion show ... I saw them back on Valentine's Day in '97 in Seattle and my wife still reminds of that day when I dragged her to see Hum instead of taking her out for a nice Valentine's Day dinner. Oh well, she still married me!! And now back to the topic at hand ...

eBay Fall Seller Update - Fee for ending auctions early.

So you're saying that if I agree to take my item to an auction house, allow them to run the auction, that it's okay for me to tell them to stop the auction three-quarters of the way through, and then say "no thanks" and turn around and sell it to the person at the auction house who was going to...

eBay Fall Seller Update - Fee for ending auctions early.

No, based on this: The fee will equal the amount of the final value fee had the listing ended naturally and sold for the highest bid received when the seller ended the listing. You are charged what the high bid was when you end the auction. If the high bid is $0.99, you're charged on that...

Adam Dunn might hit 600 HR, would he make the HOF?

But all of those potential 9 others, have so much more on their resume's than just HR's and Walks. Even if he hit 600 HR's, can you really put him on par in a class of Bonds, Ruth, Aaron, Griffey, Mays, Pujols, Rodriguez, Sosa, and Thome?? To me, even with 600 HR's, Dunn is not in a class with...

Adam Dunn might hit 600 HR, would he make the HOF?

    Here are the five over 100: 1. Omar Vizquel (24, 45) 256 B 2. Juan Pierre (13, 34) 150 L 3. Livan Hernandez (17, 37) 123 R 4. Roy Oswalt (12, 34) 105 R 5. Jack Wilson (12, 34) 104 R

Adam Dunn might hit 600 HR, would he make the HOF?

You're right, my mistake. I was thinking Fielder's Choice where it does. Point still being that Ozzie's average may have sucked, he did what he needed to do as a #2 hitter, get runners over, and people don't bother to consider that.

Adam Dunn might hit 600 HR, would he make the HOF?

Well, if he hits 800, he is far and above the best HR hitter ever. If he hits 600, he's not.
  22. S

Adam Dunn might hit 600 HR, would he make the HOF?

Yes it was. Killebrew's career average was .256. As for Ozzie, he also had 214 career Sacrifice Hits ... So let's not forget that those Sacrifices count AGAINST one's BA. Any guess how many active players have more than 100 sacrifices?? FIVE ... and two of them are pitchers, and another is a...

Adam Dunn might hit 600 HR, would he make the HOF?

How so? You've done nothing to prove that other than walks and HR's, he would be a HOFer. Let's look at his stuff: Career Avg. w/ 2 outs and RISP - .203 (Reggie .253, Thome .256) Never finished in the Top 20 in MVP voting (Reggie did it 12x, Thome did it 8x) Never led the league in HR's OR...

Adam Dunn might hit 600 HR, would he make the HOF?

This is why milestone numbers should mean nothing when it comes to HOF voting. It's about the entire package unless the player is far and above better than everyone else in specific categories at their position. In Dunn's case, he has never even led the league in HR's or RBI (yes, he is...
