Thanks. Seeing it in hand makes me want to hunt down more. I actually pulled a Griffey back in the day and sold it for maybe $100 around 2005. Wish I still had it.

For starters, compare the serial number(s) handwriting.

You are 100% correct. Unfortunately, quite a few of these proof cards made it out into the secondary market, making the inevitable, a reality. Too much money to be made with these forgeries.

Got this card for less than the shipping which was $7.50 in a PWE no top loader. arrived in ok shape.
