So what are some of the Holy Grails of 1990's inserts I should be on the lookout for? I just started collecting Mo Vaughn, Mike Mussina, and Robin Ventura and I'd like to start keeping an immediate eye out for the tougher ones. I already know about the CC Crash the Game Instant Winners, 1997 Finest Gold Embossed Refractor, and 1997 Select Certified Mirror Gold. I'm slowly going through this thread to discover more, but it's a long thread and may take me a WHILE. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

This is the third of such threads. You ought to find the other two as well.

Found another tough one while looking at the Pacific site on the Internet Wayback Machine.
1999 Pacific Invincible Giants of the Game Ken Griffey Jr. (probably a mock up but I've never even seen one of those before)

*** WARNING WARNING WARNING *** *** FOOTBALL CARD POST *** *** WARNING WARNING WARNING ***

ok, that's out of the way. So I've always been a fan of the old Fleer Ultra sets, and have been slowly whittling away at Dodgers and Rams sets, including the Gold and Platinum parallels. Dodgers golds have been done for a long time, and I just have a couple more from 2000 to be done with Platinum. For the Rams I still need a lone '98 platinum to be done, but there have been these two pesky '98 golds that have eluded me for almost 15 years now. They are both from the high # series - after having never seen either of them all these years, both showed up last week - Grant Wistrom and Robert Holcombe. The Wistrom already had a bid, so I put it on my watch list and planned to set a snipe. The Holcombe didn't have a bid, so I placed one. Now, for those that aren't familiar with '98 Ultra, the platinums are /98 and the golds are not numbered. Doesn't much matter on the high numbers, though - they are crazy scarce.

Fast forward to this morning. They're both about to close so I go to set my snipes. The Holcombe is still at the $9.99 opening bid, but Wistrom has climbed to $55. Oh, snap! Damn thing finished at $78, which was way too rich for my blood. Hopefully with this one closing, another will pop up soon. I don't want to be kicking myself for not going big on a card I'd never seen since it released.

I did win the Holcombe for the opening bid, though - happy about that, but not as happy as I wanted to be.

The seller had 13 of them up. Charlie Batch and John Avery went unsold at $9.99, and surprisingly Randy Moss got no takers at $27.99. Wistrom was by far the highest price paid - a few others went for north of $30.

Nice Promo Panel! Man, you get that on eBay obviously? I saw a few spike on eBay for a GREAT price and I went  thinking one might have Belle on it but they didn't :(

Messaged the guy and he didn't have the one with Belle on it... if anyone does see one, I'm a BUYER ;)

Yeah I picked it up on the bay. Seller is a friend of mine and a fellow Puckett collector. He is big in to promos and samples so he was selling one of his extras.
