8 corresponds to H in the number/letter code. there is an extra H on the back of the howard card "has" is supposed to be "as" and there is the h in "HK" on the front of the card

I'm thinking the extra H has to be intentional as well. They know they are making code cards. You'd think they would be extra careful not to make a mistake. Which makes me think it's an intentional mistake/clue.

Never seen these until now. Cool concept! Don't know how I missed this the last couple years.

I don't have time to decrypt this (haven't even been on ebay for a couple months), but off the top of my head, I wonder if an ordering piece would be the zodiac to planet relationship (Leo goverened by Sun, Cancer by moon, etc) then the ordering based on location: sun, mercury, mars, moon, etc)

Interesting that all the planets have two players except the sun and moon. I don't see any consistent relationships across all the pairs (though each pair has a different relationship).

Also interesting the sun and moon (two signs with single players) are the middle infield (Pedroia and Jeter) and there aren't other middle infielders

Also another observation, a few of the fronts of the cards have four icons instead of two over the celestial and stars.

If "two within orbit" is a clue, it could allude to Mars' moons, Phobos & Deimos, as well.

Maybe they should be lined up in some sort of order? Or pointing to a spot in the sky? Check dates here. In what constellation does Mars lie within on the significant dates?

Maybe something to do with Orion, since that's on the Code Card. Also, if pointing has anything to do with it that guy on the Code card is pointing in quite a few directions with his gestures.

I also may be chasing nothing here, my thought may be a bit disjointed i understand.

I think the saltiest sailors have something to do with it. I think the fact that Galileo has a card and is mentioned TWICE in This Day In History subset is a factor, I think that the fact Jeter has no base card has something to do with it, I even think the fact that two subsets are of Sailors and theyre all S's (Sailiest Sailors, Sailors of the Seven Seas) I even think that kid Zac Sunderland ( younest persont o sail around the world) has something to do with it. Im at a major standstill though.

Hmm, 6 and 7 both say Jacoby on the front. The last name of last years code breaker. Seems weird that some say Jacoby and some say Gardner.

Well, pointing, at least. That and their wandering eyes intrigue me.

Back to "TWO WITHIN ORBIT". I really think this is a reference to Mars and its moons. Mars is the Roman God of war, the Greek equivelent being Ares. Perhaps the Gods of Olympus Ares cards can offer a clue?

Furthermore, Mars' moons are Phobos and Deimos. These are the sons of ARES, not Mars.

It should be noted that Phobos is also the Greek God of the Moon, which was mentioned before.
