I see it but never really understood why people want those with low or no feedback to message them. To see if they speak English? Because there's less risk if the person talks to you?
And if/when they message, what do you tell them or ask them?
I was leery when you could no longer weed out the zero feedback buyers, but since then I've sold to quite a few without any problems. And not just $1 items, but a few in the $200-300 range. No bidding, they were all BINs. I would think that a person who wanted to flake would do so no matter if they contacted you beforehand or not, but I could easily be missing something. Is there a simple explanation that I'm unaware of?
