Collecting goals for 2009...

Sell everything I own.

Unfortunately, I'd have to agree with you here. Though I'd change it to "sell almost everything I own." Stupid economy. Though I've felt like this before and keep coming back, so the point will probably be moot in a little while.

I actually stuck to my 2008 goals pretty well. I obliterated all of them but 1. I wanted to add a little more to my Pete Rose collection, but ended up going extreme on my Griffey collection.

2009 collecting goals:

Griffey Collection
1500 diferent cards
100 autos
100 game used
Pick up an autographed White Sox jersey

Rose Collection
Pick up the following Topps cards; 1964-67, 1969, 1972
Pick up a couple Sportkings and Threads autos and game used

Add more graded to both collections

-Re-invest the money from prospect sales that was NOT profit
-Sell cards that I don't want or need and expand on PC with cards that I love
-Buy at least 3 more Justin Verlander Bowman Chrome Autos

Continue keeping up with new issues, snag a game worn jersey from the Astros, knock another 125 cards off my pre-2006 wantlist. I am up to about 2,100 different.

Will Clark
Again, keep up with the new releases and hope the card companies tone it down some. 2008 was about right. Not too much and it allowed me to catch up on older stuff I needed. I am up to about 3,200 different.

Also... keep up with new releases. I'd love to find about 25 of the 50 cards I still need from pre-1998. I am doing pretty well for the 2004 stuff and am getting killed on 2005 stuff. I think I still need 75-100 cards from 2005. Upper Deck Hall of Fame was brutal... over 175 autographs alone. I am sure I am at 2,500 or so different.

Overall goal...
Get everything sorted. Scan in player collections. Organize all trade cards and get to trading/selling!

275 Different Eric Chavez Autographs (Need 25) This may be the only challenging one

I too will be shooting for the 3,000 mark on my Bagwell collection.
Also I will be going for 300 different game used and I will try to land enough autos to put me up to 50.This will take quite a bit of work though.
