It's getting to be that time again when collectors start to make out their goals for the year. What are your goals for '09?

Chipper Jones:
1000 regular/inserts
15 autos
70 game used
15 1/1's

Misc:
Get my Avalanche collection going
Get 20% of the 1933 Goudey set

- Pick up an Ott and Mantle GU for my 500 HR Club collection (Ruth can wait a while)

- Decide how I want to continue with my Wright collection.

- Add a little more to the Sosa collection. Not certain in what way, but I would like to pick up some more 90s/00s inserts and get closer to 100 GU.

- Continue my Tennessee Titans collection.

Reach 20 Bowman Chrome Blue Refractors of Hodges before he blows up. They just don't show up anymore on the bay. In fact, there has not been anything about an x-fractor for about a month, not including the Red that I belive Jaypers sold. Man I wish I would have known. I would have done some quick selling to add that one to my PC, but oh well.

These should be pretty easy to achieve as its only a matter of time until I get there as long as I don't quit.

3000 Different Eric Chavez Cards (Need Roughly 300 cards)
500 Different Eric Chavez Game Used Cards (Need 27?)
275 Different Eric Chavez Autographs (Need 25) This may be the only challenging one

Stick to my top-ten list. I did this last season fairly well, but deviated a little when the season began. Now I am stuck with some pretty sad Ben Sheets autos.

:)

Stick to the list. Stick to the list.

1. Attend a some more White Plains shows this year.
2. Try and end the year in the black! That is, sell more than I buy.
3. Add 10 more O'Neill autos to the PC this year, 5 of them high-end
4. Complete the Don Mattingly PSA Basic Set (ungraded), currently at 55/107 cards.
5. Reach the 1,000 mark for my O'Neill collection, currently at 843. (the toughest one!)
6. Reach the 50% mark for Mariano Rivera 1990-2003 releases (currently 46.7%, 363/777 cards)
7. Finally complete the Marvel I, II, III; 1992 Marvel Masterpieces; X-Men 1 & 2 base sets (I've had these since 2nd grade)

Just one major goal for me so far:

- Reach the 75% completion mark on my O'Neill collection (need 125 more cards assuming he isn't in anymore releases).

What about 2009 Upper Deck Yankee Legacy? All Yankees, all the time.

-Ryan Braun
-Yovani Gallardo
-a select few Brewer's prospects

I'm thinking about starting an Oscar Robinson (w/ Bucks) collection; but there is roughly jack of him out there. -Z- over on BMB had the coolest patch of him I've EVER seen.

Honestly, seeing what the Brewers do in the off-season might dictate some who I keep collecting.

maybe some fo the younger Packers too, i.e. Jennings and Jordy Nelson.

O'Neill already had 75 YSL cards this year, he shouldn't be in the 2009 YSL set (thank god!) because those cards will be from the 2008 season. But then again you never know with UD, they may continue to release more Yankee Stadium stuff. Speaking of which, the only other YSL set that may still feature O'Neill is this QVC Exclusive "white" YSL Boxed Set.
