I'm not going to do that. I'm actually focusing on a Jamaal Charles 1/1 NFL logo auto and the seller wants $1300 for it. I'm not spending that much, but it looks like I won't have a shot at that Griffey because of this situation.

They of course just put up one hellava lot of cool Griffey cards, many of which I'll be bidding on

Maybe I better reconsider this statement. 2 cards I had discussed with Bruce a few days ago, are being sold by buttercontrol. Either Bruce is Buttercontrol or they have made some aggreement for selling.

Whatever.

Bruce is not buttercontrol. He was probably just trying to make a deal with him. Buttercontol used to be dpinner(sp) on Ebay, something happened to his account and he started using his wifes account.

How many of you are bidding on the Griffey Ultimate quad patch auto that is up right now. I don't want to jack the price up if several of you are going for it.

I can assure you outright I'm not bidding on that beautiful special almost impossible to find quad auto Griffey card.
So that leaves you at least without me bidding

Thats one sweet card Roy, there was a Ripken quad patch auto/5 up earlier this week but I didn't go after it because the patches weren't very nice. This Griffey is lights out better. Hope you enjoy it after its yours.

Yeah thats a nice card. I got these in the mail not so long ago. I'm happy with them so I can pass on that quad.

The quad on ebay that you are all talking about is from a seller in my hometown...he runs a shop and does a lot on consignment. This is one thats on consignment. I was hoping to make an offer, but since it isnt his card, there's not much of a chance. He also said he's been getting some pretty high offers, but is letting the card ride, as per the guy who pulled it. THe store owner (seller) is a great guy, was hoping to work something out...i will NOT be bidding on it, but it isnt like my bod would have mattered!! I simply cant afford it....good luck, hope it comes to the boards!

I honestly think when I don't bid this is going to be a low average price. There are 300 of these cards. WHY should they sell for $250 to $325? If I hadn't decided to collect 1/3 of them, ie KG 1-100, then the price should be 1/3 to 1/2 of what its been doing. Now that I have 52, there are 300-156 or 144 cards I won't be bidding on. The price should drop like a rock. I have actually got them for as low as 80's before. I'm hoping as I head into my last 30, with me not bidding on most of them, they will sell for about $100 or less. The cards by themselves are NOT that interesting. Its only as a set that they become attractive.
