I'll bet that the card sold for a lot more. The guy is claiming $565 for less ebay fees. Tell the buyer you will accept their offer but don't want to pay higher fees. You tell him submit a lower bid, you'll acept it and then he pays the rest by paypal.
That's my guess

If you are talking about the griffey/mantle, im not sure that was the case...it was an auction format, not BIN/BO...

Yeah I was talking griff / mantle card.
I thought it was a bin, bo- but you're right if it was an auction, considering the seller could have just ended it and sold to whoever.

$565 is so low for a mantle signature, then throw in griffey. I always wondered if the card was hurt by the "artist perception" appearance instead of photos. also realizing that 1000 of each variant was released. Maybe alot of collectors would rather have photos or there are just too many of them. I don't even remember the last one selling at $1000 lately.

They seem to be selling for about $7-800. I have always liked the appearance of the card. The artist did a great job on it.

I agree with you Roy, I think the card looks great. I'm going to have to pick up another at some point in time.

Hi
I agree with both of you (Roy and Bruce). The card looks great to me. I just can't understand the low prices, even 700 to 800 seems very low to me for mantle / griffey.

Another reason for low prices, especially on ungraded ones, is it would be very easy to take a $150 Griffey sig / mantle card and forge a Mantle sig to increase value. I think alot of potential bidders are worried about the authenticity of the card with both autos.

I have begged and pleaded with UD to post their hologram database on their website. If they did this it would eliminate a large amount of collectors concerns about these and buybacks. Another collector and I hammered them on the subject for a couple of years. Since we came up against a brickwall I quit communicating with them and I no longer buy buybacks. Maybe some of you want to take up the battle.

I was digging through some stuff and found this,
img554.jpg

I think that it is a envelope from SAH that they sent the 93 Elite Dominators in. Does anyone want it for their collection?

How many of you are bidding on the Griffey Ultimate quad patch auto that is up right now. I don't want to jack the price up if several of you are going for it.

Just bumping this. The card has been discussed before, either here or on Beckett. Cannot remember what it was.

Are there any markings on the back? Is it a sticker?

Roy

I'll get a scan of the back. It's a silk card. The only info about the company that made it is a big "Z"

It appears to come from this company, but I couldn't find that card
