I'm willing to pay $2,600 OR MORE on the 98 Crusade Red Griffeys and am in the thousands on most other rare Griffeys from 1996 Mirror Golds to 1999 Fleer Brillants 24kt Gold and others in the 1997-1999 timeframe numbered to 30 or less as well.

I know that no one will PM me as everyone who has these cards will not sell...but just so everyone knows, I'm willing to offer a lot on these inserts if there happens to be anyone that wants to sell for a lot.

Wow - If I had any of these cards, I would sell them to you!! Really makes you wish you had picked up some of these when they first came out doesn't it. For everyone who is always saying that the value of cards has diminished, I just don't see it. If anything, the price of cards has continually gone up (other than the mass production era). I don't seem to remember anyone ever paying these kinds of prices 5 or 10 years ago. Maybe it is just me.

Anyways, good luck on finding these cards. You never know - those offers could bring some people out of the woodwork. Have you ever thought about posting this offer through EBAY Want it Now? If you actually put what you are willing to pay in the description of your Want it Now post, you may get some PM's from people. I have picked up some Larkins over the year using it. Don't get responses very often, but every once in a while I do. Just a thought :)

Anyone here score on some of those ridiculously awesome Griffeys that ended a day or so ago? I also know that the seller that had a Team Pinnacle Mirror Gold and didn't know it sold it for at least $800.

Perhaps I was misinformed.
Just for future notice, I will pay $3,500 for a Red Crusade Griffey Jr, unless someone tops that offer, then I will pay more
Thanks

I ended up getting one. The 1999 pacific timelines. Only paid $41 for it. The other auctions were a different story. I thought I had good enough bids to win, but no. I hate auctions that end at 1 in the morning. Pisses me off! I go to bed around 9 and wake up around 3. Needless to say I always get screwed on the good late auctions. I saw the team pinnacle mirror gold and of course it ended early. I wanted to see how high it would go.

WOW, one of the guys I drive to work was looking at some Griffey cards via EBay and saw one that caught his eye, which seemed odd seeing he doesn't really card collect. I told him I'd take a look at it, so I did, and figured if he wanted a Griffey auto I have a couple here I'd part with.. so I told him that I'd sell him one of mine instead, he laughed, "Its not for Me its for You LOL"
I was flattered, but refused his offer, now I just hope he doesn't sign up to paypal/EBay and get it anyways

Forget Rare Collector's Post. He doesn't have enough money to beat what I'd spend for one of the Red Crusades - I've sold alot of my collection over the last 2 years and money is just sitting there waiting to give a bunch to someone for that card. I will go on record as saying I will pay more than any dealer, any individual or any President of the United States. If someone needs the money, or no longer cares about that particular card, please contact me and you will be happy

I'm going on memory but I think the last Griffey Red went for $2800-$3000 about a year or two ago. There was a lot of talk about it on here. You can find it by doing a search if you try hard enough.

I have no idea why Steve has chosen to slam me on the boards just because I am willing to pay what he is for a baseball card...truly amazing, his PM to me was also quite rude...

The last Griffey went for $2,400ish, I was 2nd highest bidder about 4-5 years ago...it was a 2 person bidding war, outside of the top 2, it wouldn't have broken $1200

I'll pay $4k for a Griffey Crusade Red and will go higher if I need to...and I would buy more than 1 at this amount, basically if anyone has one to sell they should just list it on ebay and watch the bidding war that comes out of it...
