You are looking at it as a prospector not a collector.

Why did I overpay for the super in my sig, of some guy that most people never heard of? Personal relationships. The fact is, with a 1/1, you really do get collectors, in addition to prospectors.

actually, jeremy's family is not all that well off (comfortable, yes. wealthy, no), and most certainly doesn't have the disposable income to just throw out on high-end cardboard. his grandmother is the only one in the family that i know of who was actually buying his cards, and i don't think she has bought anything over a refractor. i remember her throwing a fit (kindly like a grandmother would) because she was paying a couple of bucks for base chrome.

he’s going to have stiff competition from hellickson’s family I suspect as they’ve been buying his cards since ’06.

He will need an injury/poor start by a starter to come up to the bigs I think. I'm pretty sure they will or have optioned him to the minors, which should've been expected with only 1 or 2 starts this spring.

ebay needs to somehow punish/ban those that abuse or play games

they should also freeze account if this happens too much

35 seconds after he retracted his $888 bid and it looks like he rebid $850. So if that is the same bidder, he did submit a new bid.

If you received an offer of $1,500.00 and you're going to let it run and pay ebay fees, I think you should reconsider.
