after being a healthy scratch for the last 9 games Rangers F Sean Avery has once again been placed on waivers. he will most likely end up playing with the Hartford Whale in the AHL.

I'm not sure what went wrong with the team this year but they certainly didn't seem to mesh very well. oh well I can now root for Team Canada and Penguins draft pick Scott Harrington.

Seems like the Wild can't buy a win lately. Another rough game. Glad I didn't go like I was planning on. :(

NHL.com said:
PHILADELPHIA -- Flyers goalie Ilya Bryzgalov informed the media following Sunday's practice at Citizens Bank Park who the team's starting goaltender would be for Monday's game against the New York Rangers.

It won't be him.

Bryzgalov, signed by the Flyers to a nine-year contract during the summer in hopes of stabilizing the team's long-running goaltending issues, announced he would serve as the backup to Sergei Bobrovsky when the puck is dropped for the 2012 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic (1 p.m. ET, NBC, CBC).

"I have great news and even better news," said Bryzgalov. "OK, great news is I'm not playing (Monday), and better news is we have a chance to win the game (Monday)."

Coach Peter Laviolette, though, said no such decision has been made.

Predators take season series from Flames 3-1 with a 5-3 win tonight.

Playing better of late, finally.

Rangers beat the Flyers 3-2.

Mike Rupp scored 2 goals and Brad Richards scored the game winner.

Nice seeing Rupp have a good game. Wanted Flyers to lose with that joke of a line up PL dressed. I love all the hype rivalry and bringing out Broad St. Bullies and PL dresses one of the softest Flyers teams in history.

Looking forward to Saturday's Bruins/Canucks game. Boston is super hot right now (15 goals in the last two games,) Vancouver will definitely be looking for revenge, and both are tied for 2nd in the league. Should be a great match-up.

Yeah, can't wait. Boston has just been scary good this year, though.

the NHLPA has blocked the NHL's realignment plan which was set to begin next season. it looks like both sides are in for long fight over the new CBA this Summer as well. I hope we don't have another lost season like 2004-05.
