Is this card good enough for the proposed fcbs museum?

Oh, no. Not a comment thread to vote or criticize for approval but more so to felicitate/congratulate the man/woman that owns the card. But it's fine though, I'll see what else I can contribute to the thread, here...

your ryan sterling is really no different than a normal chrome parallel set if you think about it. how many different versions of that card are out there /10? quite a few and the only difference is one might say something about no hitters and the next one will be 5000ks there are many variations of the same card.

most of those sterlings i think are stupid,like 3 no hitters, 4 no hitters, 5 no hitters....the only one I would want in my pc would be the MLB record...screw the milestones. There are only 10 that have the MLB strikeout record. How many other cards do you see that are ON-CARD and have a "MAJOR MLB RECORD"? IMHO, that is what makes it "museum worthy", where none of the others I would even have in my PC, let alone a museum. Of all the RYAN cards out there, I truly cannot think of ONE other non-rookie card that I would rather have, than the 2 in this thread..

Just my thought, but the whole idea seems fraught with peril, and would probably cause more harm than good on the boards. Not to mention things like "does the card get removed from the HOF is a member sells it", etc.

While there is nothing totally wrong with discussing baseball cards on the message board, your idea of awesome and my idea of awesome are two different things.

I for one, don't really care much about relic cards, jumbo patch cards, button cards, rare autographed cards, cut signature, 1/1's, and 90% of most of what you are considering museum worthy. I just don't find them awesome. (Show me a well conditioned, maybe even full PSA 8 set of 1952 cards...that, for me, is awesome.)

And I agree, just like the old BMB HOF posts, a museum of the stature you want only boosts the egos of those who own the card.

If there isn't going to be a FCB HOF (and thank goodness the people in charge here won't allow one), then there really shouldn't be a "museum" either.

Besides, there is only one true museum for baseball cards anyway.
