Actually, its sad to be a fan of any team the past year unless your an Angels, Phillies, Yankees, or Red Sox fan. Seems to be the teams only doing something in the offseason.

Theyre the only teams with money anymore so it makes sense.

As a Dbacks fan, I was pumped about the Dbacks doing anything this offseason

I don't see any deal that involves Aumont AND Morrow. I think if Morrow goes anywhere, a team will look at him as a closer (which is what Aumont is being groomed into as well). And most teams would probably want Aumont.

If it's really only giving up two or three prospects from the following list for Lee, I'm a FULLY game for this:

Aumont
Morrow
Trunifel
Saunders
Moore

That's all the names I've seen from various rumors...maybe one or two others.

Phils, Ms, Blue Jays Agree On Halladay-Cliff Lee Blockbuster
By Tim Dierkes [December 14 at 3:56pm CST]
3:56pm: Rosenthal and Morosi write that pitcher Phillippe Aumont of the Mariners and "possibly" outfielder Michael Taylor of the Phillies are among the players heading to Toronto in the trade. They add that outfielder Michael Saunders and pitcher Brandon Morrow are "in play." The FOX duo confirms an agreement is in place to send Halladay to the Phillies and Lee to the Mariners. MLB.com's Jordan Bastian sees an official announcement Wednesday at the earliest.

Halladay-Lee-Hamels-Drabek-Moyer

Lee is not getting traded apparently now.

This team could hit 110 wins honestly.

Braves still have a better rotation/bullpen.

Better rotation is a stretch as the two best pitchers on either team would be Halladay and Lee.

Updated article on ESPN:

According to a source who spoke with two teams involved in the trade, Toronto would get highly regarded Mariners pitching prospect Phillippe Aumont, Phillies catching prospect Travis d'Arnaud and another Phillies prospect in exchange for Halladay. Indications are that the Phillies have balked at Toronto's repeated requests for outfielder Domonic Brown, and the Phillies are offering highly touted outfielder Michael Taylor instead.

Seattle would also send two prospects to Philadelphia in exchange for Lee, who is a year away from free agency.

Lee is good, but streaky, so is Hamels, and Drabek hasnt even had a taste of big league ball, and Moyer is good, but near retirement

Plus, their pen needs work

Lee is being traded, if not it is still really close. The backend of that rotation is not that great.

I think Lee is about the most underrated pitcher out there, he's not streaky, over the past two years he's a top five pitcher in the majors and has proved it on the biggest stage.

Yeah, Lee will be traded. The Phillies probably don't want both Lee and Halladay's salaries on the payroll, and I dont think the Phillies have the prospects to trade straight up with Toronto for Halladay.

I get the feeling we won't find out all of the official details of this deal until tomorrow.

If we kept my man Spliff Lee, my boys will be doing some ass kicking in the 2010 season!

So, was Happ in this deal or not?

I hightly doubt it. I really don't think Philly would be willing to get rid of Lee AND Happ.

I think that was the purpose of trading Lee is so they could get Halladay and keep Happ as the top lefty in the rotation.

Plus, would you rather one year of Halladay/Lee or a few years of Halladay/Happ?? Cause you know it would have been one or the other.

Wow big trade! So it looks like this on face value:

Phils: Doc

Jays: Aumont, Morrow, Taylor, D'Arnaud

M's: Cliff Lee

Right?

I think Michael Saunders is also going to Toronto.
