Thanked.justinmandawg said:As a 16 year old I'd already carried a single bullet around for a year. I carried it everyday. I did well in school, I did well at sports, I did well in theatre and choir. I had a 32 hour a week job. The day when I'd had too much was not different than any other day in my life. I was no more sad than any other day. I couldn't handle it anymore. I was in my room at home with a gun in my mouth, my mom was making supper and my dad got home from the mine early. I had my finger on the trigger and the safety was off. Dad walked in and was talking to mom. They were both so happy to see each other. For some reason, I decided not to. I put the gun down and took the bullet out. I went outside and destroyed the bullet by taking the slug out and dumping the powder. I broke down and cried. For the first time since I was 14, I was free.
The reasons for my problems are more than likely due to genetics plus at least 6 concussions in a short amount of time. Anyhow, it's sad that so many people do kill themselves. I wish there were more that could have had a moment that I had. I still struggle, but I keep on keepin on.
