That wasn't so bad when it do it the non-lazy way. Maybe I'll go back to batching stuff when I get it. Easier than copying dozens of photos. My count was off slightly too, as one package from this seller was sent separately and didn't arrive today.

Another big Dodger mailday, both in quantity and quality.

some obscure Garvey items, including the Show Biz Mag (oversized like the old ESPN mags - not sure what they look like now). I have never seen this before. The seller, a Garvey collector himself, said he took a trip to Vegas and it was in his room when he arrived. Talk about starting off a trip lucky. I hope he gambled a bit.

The family weekly was one of those supplements that used to come with the Sunday paper. Each paper had a different supplement. I'll check, but I have at least 2 or 3 different (the name across the top). This may be unique or it may be a dupe for me.

A group of 8 more obscure TTM/IP. 8 Dod.jpg

A couple non-Dodger uniform cards, 1 certified, 1 TTM/IP. betemit.jpg. Roenicke.jpg

Finally a lot of 7 Timeless Team Gold autos. A seller was offering a bunch of these and sent one of those best offers. I countered with an offer to buy more if they dropped the price a bit more. I think I did OK on these. Other than this seller and a couple other that seem to have team monopolies, these don't come up all that often and when they do, people usually want too much for them. These are all /5. The Reuss isn't a mistake, I bought both he had.

Smallish COMC order and a few other ebay adds. Will need at least 2 posts to cover it.

Leading off are some nice customs done by blogger "When Topps Had Balls". I ordered the Garvey related cards. The others were bonus cards! love that for sure!!

Blue Archives stamp Hopefully the "flag" versions (Red, White & Blue) cover all of them, although wouldn't doubt there being a 1/1. Garvey stamp blue.jpg

This was my favorite pick-up of the COMC batch. love multi-player cards, especially when they are ALL Dodgers. /50.

Non-uniform Dodgers. This may be my first Peralta shown. i am up to needing close to 10 more players now though. they keep bringing up guys who don't have signed cards readily available.

Frames not included! Same seller who has the Eck Colla PC. The Wills came with one of his old business cards. Didn't affect my desire to buy the lot or what I was going to pay, but neat toss in piece.

These came yesterday, but I forgot to post. I may get something today that needs to post tomorrow as well. Today is looking like it may be busy...

s-l1600-1.jpgs-l1600-2.jpg. Don't know much about these. I first saw them several years ago. It may have been a club/subscription type deal. The certificate is signed by Garvey, but is a copy. I'd have to pull out the several copies I own already, but my guess would be ALL COAs are the same photocopy.

I may try to pop out the "flasher" disc on this, since the pinback is broken anyway. I have another in better shape. Then it's more card-like. These are not too hard to find because Danny Goodman must have ordered a gazillion of them and was selling them through his promotions (stadium & mail order) likely into the 80s. s-l1600-3.jpg

I hope this wasn't a dupe. I have a version of thgis card, just don't think it was the /5. s-l1600-7.jpg

Another of these popped up and I do like the more obscure Dodger low print run cards. This is /10, s-l1600-4.jpg

s-l1600-3.jpg

Not sure if this is the earliest Dodger item featuring Hershiser, but I like these team prospect photos. This is approx 8x10 and some early appearances by a few guys who would play in LA and/or other teams and a few who didn't.s-l1600-5.jpg

Team issue set that doesn't come up all that often. Not as scarce as the other one, but still a nice add when the price is right, despite having several already. s-l1600-1.jpgs-l1600-2.jpg

This was something I hesitated about, then realized that if I had passed, it would have sold quickly and I would have been mad at myself for not doing BIN. I don't recall what the opening price was, maybe $8, but BIN was $15! I hhit it immediately after my brief hesitation. had the Doby/Garvey/Fingers already, maybe a few copies, but the Smoltz is new to me. Plus $15 for 4 autographs, 3 being HOFers and 1 still possibly having an outside shot of induction someday, should be a no brainer. these are the 8x10 UD collector sheets.

Not as frequent, but this was almost a sweep for Garvey stuff and some low numbered stuff to boot.

Lead off with Leaf. This is a loaded card, player wise. I still hate this whole concept of GU chunks, with no player images and some weird combos. This is #6/8, a jersey match though and it does have some epic players. 6-8.jpgs-l1600.jpg

This nice dual patch card is /15. 15.jpg

The we have /25. 25.jpg

Final item is a new Dodger, although he has not played for the team yet. One of the few Dodger Bowman cards that isn't being gobbled up for grossly overpayments. I do loath the prospector buying mentality and frankly, yes...iI do take a small amount of enjoyment seeing gambles not pay off. Why should I care what others buy? Because it drives up the price for me for no other reason than speculation and pure gambling.s-l1600-2.jpg

You got that for $15?!?! And you hesitated?!?!
Yes x2. I already had the Garvey/Doby/Fingers. Being cheap, I scrutinize most purchases before making them. I like to save wherever I can and even though it was a great deal, I had to think about it first. It is rare that I immediately do a BIN w/o much thought.

This Garvey is a dupe and came a couple days ago, but I completely forgot to add it to the post. It's only /99. That used to be a pretty limited card back in the day, now it''s a yawner! s-l1600-4.jpg

Bellinger fathers day auto. What a scorching 3 years this guy had in his beginnings. People still sell/pay at a solid fraction of those days, although he has pretty much stunk since 2020. I still like to pick up neat autos, but not willing to pay MVP prices for a guy who may never find that groove again. s-l1600.jpg

Messersmith. A reluctant signer, although it appears at some point in his life, we was more willing. I read on facebook where someone claimed to have mailed a card to him that was signed. I still really want 2 cards signed badly, but especially 1, his 1979 OPC. If I could get 2, 78 OPC is 2nd place. Most of the attempts I have read about seem to end in a nice, polite note signed "Andy", saying he doesn't sign anymore. This is his RC. s-l1600-2.jpg

I dreamed of finding one of these Linnett Garvey cards when I first learned of them as a kid. Turns out they are not hard to find, when you have the world at your fingertips. This is another that was signed. I must have a dozen of them now in various forms (sheets, packaged, singles, signed, etc). Garvey lINNETT Au.png

I don't buy plain old relic cards too often anymore, but sometimes the design or player speaks to me. both in this case and it was cheap enough. Freeman Heritage. Freeman.jpg

I am not sure if Bohanon has any other Dodger cards, but always fun to locate one of those obscure guys that most would be surprised to learn they were on a certain team. Always appreciate finding team specific cards of short timers. Brian Bohanon isn't a Dodger in most peoples minds and this was the first time seeing a dodger card signed by him. Bohanon.jpg
