Lots of rumors are being spread around on different threads so I figured it would be a good idea to consolidate our information into one. I for one am looking for the most up-to-the-minute information so if anyone hears anything in their market, post it up here!

Rumors so far:

- Mets have reportedly traded for Detroit Tigers' SP Edwin Jackson - still awaiting official announcement

- Nationals have traded for NY Yankees' RP Brian Bruney for a player to be named

- Rumors of a 3-team deal involving Pat Burrell and Milton Bradley

I also read Bay may go to Angels.

Kelly Johnson's trade value is going up (thank goodness)

Other points of interest for Braves fans:
Cox: we'll give Heywatd a chance

Cox: Braves not in on Bay

Cox: Wags the closer "no matter what"

Cox: Martin Prado could play anywhere

Praying that if Josh Johnson gets dealt, it's not to the Evil Empire

Are there rumors of him moving?

He wanted a 4 year extension. GM for the Fish didn't wanna give it to him. I believe he'll get moved. Hopefully to the Twins. It'd be a perfect fit  ...

As you all may know I am friends with Omar Minaya's son, so if I hear anything from him I'll let you guys know

Some Rays rumors I have heard

Possible 3 Team Deal with the Mets and Cubs. Castillo to CHI/ Burrell to NYM/ Bradley to TB
Rays are interested in Matt Lindstrom but refuse to give up more than 1 middle tier prospect
Rays have interest in Texas' Nelson Cruz and I recently heard a rumor of a 3 team deal here... Bradley to TEX/Burrell to CHI/Cruz to TB

And I also heard that the Rays are in preliminary contract talks with Kevin Gregg. Gregg wants 4 Mil but the Rays won't give him more than 2.

Cruz is making just over $400k, it'd be pointless for the Rangers to do that deal.

Supposedly Brad Penny has signed with the Cardinals pending physical. I like. Now offer Holliday your best offer, and if he declines, go get Xavier Nady.

The sports radio rumors here (in Detroit) are that Granderson and Jackson will both end up in the Bronx. I have ABSOLUTELY NO proof of this. Also, word is Brandon Lyon declined arbitration.

Brewers start the quest for pitching, not sure how much this guy will help though.

ESPN Insider said:
FoxSports.com is reporting this afternoon that the Milwaukee Brewers are "making a strong push" for left-hander Randy Wolf.

Wolf represents one of the top available starters on the market, and the best southpaw of the class, but as Ken Rosenthal and Jon Morosi writes, the Brewers may not want to go beyond two years on any starting pitcher.

SI.com's Jon Heyman tweets that the Mets met with the agents for Wolf, Joel Pineiro and John Lackey.

We could see a battle between the Mets and Brewers for Wolf, who could also land back in Philadelphia.

Ken Rosenthal has reported that the Rays are activily trying to acquire the Blue Jays Roy Halladay. They have been mulling over whether or not to offer BJ Upton, Wade Davis, and couple of prospects. Thus opening a spot for Desmond Jennings. He stated this is the most surprising rumor of the day but also believes this could be a scare to Boston and the Yankees to make them offer up more for Halladay

If this is not a rumor and we do have the money for Halladay. This would be a very big deal... Upton is in for a big payday from arbitration so giving him up for Halladay will not cost the Rays much money

The Yankees will aquire the Nationals Rule 5 Draft pick for trading Bruney. The Nats have the 1st pick so the Yanks will have many to choose from

My cousin who works in the MLB and is at the Meetings said in the last couple of hours (after Jackson to the Mets was denied) the Rays have been making a push to re-acquire Edwin Jackson

Jeez, Jackson is going to every team it seems like. Anyone heard more word on Jackson to AZ? MLBTR said they are in serious talks.

Upton won't be getting anywhere close to $20MM a year, and that's what Halladay will cost via an extension. So it would still cost the Rays a ton. Money which they might not have. I can see them wanting to go for it, though because as crazy as it sounds, their window is already starting to close.

While I don't think anything will come of this, and even if it did, reports suggest the Jays would flip Upton, this would be my nightmare trade scenario:

My all-time favourite player dealt for my absolute most despised player (Upton). I honestly can't fathom a worse trade, at least from my fan perspective.

Yeah, it's all over the internet. http://blog.mlive.com/cutoffman/2009/12/report_tigers_close_to_dealing.html

Rumor has it Granderson will go for Hughes and Austin Jackson.

The Tigers would be insane not to do that. Granderson should be no more than a platoon player at this point.
