Dave,
They got the Thomas Inscriptions auto that popped up the other night but, seller is asking a whopping $650 BIN or BO. I know this is on your want list.

I search for this cards "everyday" and they just seem to either be still in packs, dried up, or collectors just holding on to them

Luckily for me I'm buying a different Thomas immortal right now! :) Thanks for the heads up though. I think a largest reason for the lack of cards is that there are thousands of unopened tins. Believe me, I know the feeling of searching endlessly.

jpcz and I have tossed it around as well... not sure how it would work exactly as I haven't taken part in any. If you can shed some ideas maybe we can discuss it here. I'm sure we could put together a good group of us.

Would also like to hear an idea or two about a group break. The problems that Dave and I mentioned with that were things like the common cards we all need....who would end up with them? And when talking about those cards, they are mostly high dollar cards, which would leave the other people with the cheap decades (assuming we decided a certain card would go to a certain person). Unfortunately, i just dont see a way 3+ people can break a case without having a fight over who gets the "case hit" if the 3+ people all needed it...But we could be forgetting about something, so let's hear any ideas!

Great stuff everyone! Great idea for a thread Dave.

I am trying to pick up all of the Griffeys that aren't 1/1s. Here is what I have so far:

The main one that I am dying to pick up is the Griffey Immortal Inscriptions. I just have not had the coin to be able to pick one up. That is my #2 most wanted card.

This is a great looking set and I enjoy seeing everyone's cards and progress. This is one of my all-time favorite sets.

You can count me IN on the break ;)

This a new high $325................WOW :o

Not a new high, but VERY close....see my post earlier in the thread (page 4 maybe?) High is 330...but 325 now is showing that 300 may not have been a fluke. 330 was not a best offer, it was a live auction, so i thought it might have been a case of two high snipes....maybe not!

Good points John. I would have to say the Griffey and Thomas immortals are the cards that have made the biggest jumps in value!! You could get them both for 100-200 a couple years ago. Now, you can't get one on ebay for under 3 bills!!! :o That's insane for cards numbered to 99 and 50!!

It may be priced a little high, but the Will Clark /99 closed for close to $30 recently so it might not be too overpriced.

C

The Clark I listed ended at $29, the highest I've seen a Clark go for in awhile.
