Isn't that awful?! I have to believe UD is sitting on a large majority of those cards. But there isn't any way of finding out that I know of. I sure wish they hadn't taken that population report site they had a few years back. Every time I ask one of their reps it's like talking to a brick wall.

i don't recall ROY-GR Garciaparra/Rolen being a redemption. is it possible some were inserted as live cards. i have this one but don't recall it being a redemption.

I don't think so, but I could be wrong. I pulled a redemption card for mine. I'm not aware of any that were partial redemptions/partial insertions. But who knows... UD does some odd things.

If I follow correctly, the list that Dave posted were cards that were identified as redemptions, not necessarily those that are outstanding, which we would have no idea of knowing how many remain in packs/tins.

Presumably the outstanding redemptions are a lot less......

I heard that all of the Rolen cards were redemptions because he didn't get them back to UD in time. That could have just been a rumor though because if I recall correctly the guy that told me didn't necessarily like Rolen.

I think they are just sitting in their vault. I am hoping... and this is a BIG hope... that the remaining unclaimed redemptions, such as the Beltrans, become available as part of the Hobby Exchange program, if it ever gets off the ground. That way if you want to swap out a redemption card, you can pull from a list of similar value cards. I'm sure they will become available in the future.

I've already tried being very specific with the reps about replacing a redemption that's been sitting on hold for a year, with the Robin Yount Supremacy card. Yeah, brick wall.

Maine: Thanks for clarifying, I should have stated the quantities I listed were not what was sitting at UD.

shuedini: So hard to say who the delay was caused by with the duals. None of Rolen's other cards were redemptions that I know of so maybe it was Nomar. But then none of Nomar's other cards were redemptions either. So who knows

I think the ripken immortals can be verified, as beckett has at least one listed in the graded pop report, and that one ebay seller claimed to have had the entire set (but couldnt scan them for me...)

Edit: if you mean unverified as in if they were redemptions, i think the emails i have included you in with UD can verify that...they have basically told me that there were no more left at UD (which i think is a load of ^%&TF)

LOL! It would make sense that it was in fact a redemption since most (if not all) of Rip's other cards in the set were packed out as redemptions. I think it's aload of crap too. I mean, how come if you call about other cards as replacements they give you the old "Oh that's out of my control I don't have a way of checking what cards are in the vault" but then asking about the Ripken specifically they can say there are no more there. A little contradictory in my opinion. Someone tell me why in the heck are UD CS reps so disconnected with the whole redemption/exchange process? Why is it that we have still yet to see ANY Ult Sig cards used as replacements?? Sorry I'm going on a rant here!! I hope you get an answer John.
