This series is winding down. I can't tell but that flickering flame that is almost being extinguished is either the Yank's season coming to an end, Cashman's tenure in New York coming to an end, or both. But ya know, I'm not gonna complain, because Texas has dominated the game, and its always nice to see a familiar face going to the Series.

This is depressing. Albeit a predictable loss, but still depressing. You would think that Girardi would have had the team better prepared to face the guy. I hope that Burnett is watching and can turn this around tomorrow..............ummmm yeah. Right.

on the plus side, aren't the Rangers throwing Tommy Hunter? That's a guy the Yankees could light up.

There is no plus side when Burnett pitches. He's horrible. Almost an automatic loss. Its just really upsetting that New York dropped a *** on this guy and he's not paying off. Just goes to show, even though they spend a shat ton to get the "best of the best" they don't always pan out. Javy Vasquez is another one to be lumped in that pile.
Aj has had flashes of talent in his younger years, but just because he was far from cheap i would not call him the "best of the best" at all.

I wasn't saying Burnett was the best. I was saying that New York thought he was the best wherein led to the huge contract. I was NOT in favor of them signing him.

But most of the years before that were 10-8, 10-8, 12-12, 7-6, 0-2. Not stellar by any stretch of the imagination.

It is really depressing to think the Rangers could be up 3-0 right now. But, as you said, the Rangers seem to have control of this series right now.

But (AGAIN), if any team, was to re-take control of the series in the next two games, it would be the Stankees.

So I will be holding my breath until the Rangers win their fourth game.

Career .500 pitcher with an ERA of 4.50. They were bidding against themselves that off-season. They could have clearly gotten alot less for him except the Yanks were destined to get him. So they decide to pay him 16 mill a year hahaah

I know that, I was being tongue in cheek about his greatness.

My point exactly. A ridiculous contract for an overrated pitcher. Now, if he came out and earned that huge lump of cash, I would be singing a different tune.

When the hell did the damned circus come to town?

throwing Cliff in the 9th would be a coke-move by Washington at this point. Get some EXP for your RP out there.

from a yankee standpoint, example number 1,945,000 why they shouldnt even think about crawford during the off season. all eyes all attention should be on the Leeminator.

the fact the series is 2-1 doesnt really faze me, its the thought that self implosion burnett will pitch in a "sort of" must win game.....and that no matter what happens, theres no way for the yanks to possible win it all without facing lee again.

one thing Ive been meaning to post is the stupid ass remarks made by Michael Kay after game one when he said there is no way the rangers can win now and that the series is over because they blew that hugelead.
