It's just tiring. At the end of the day -- whichever team wins -- we all still go to bed, wake up and go off to another day of work/school. Our lives will be in no way changed.

It's hard to understand if you aren't a part of either team's fan base. It's like the Red Sox are a part of the Boston fan base family, and the Yankees have their own. We can make fun of our own team and say Ortiz used or Papelbon has been mediocre this year, but when someone outside the family says it then they're fighting words. The Yankees' fans can say Arod can't hit in the clutch and Jeter's defense has fallen off, but someone outside their group better not say it.

Crazy? Yes
Enjoyable? Yes

[quote="Jays_Cards":te65gsm2]Those were some great ABs by Green and Kotchman ::facepalm::

That's what happens when you get up there swinging for the grand slam.[/quote:te65gsm2]

Agreed..Watching Green hit the last month and a half has been pretty tough. Every AB is the same. Take the 1st pitch right down the middle and swing at 2 balls well out of the zone..BTW, Sox as a team are 1 for their last 24 with RISP :o

Sometimes I have to bite my tongue to not reply to your posts, cause it would probably start a serious message board fracas and I try to avoid those. They are just the worst.

And then sometimes you make a post that I couldn't agree with more. The above is a prime example. You sir, have been thanked.

I'd rather Green strike out in that situation. Lugo would have found a way to ground into a triple play...with two outs.

Ortiz should just come out and blame Lugo. That would give him a free pass.

Haha! The first part might have been a bit exaggerated for dramatic effect.

Man I feel bad for Smoltz but I'd be lying if I said I didn't see this coming.

I guess people realize why the Braves didn't resign him now.

If John Smoltz is even let on the plane going back to Boston, I'm becoming a Padres fan....

Very true.

The games between these two teams are usually "good baseball" to watch no matter who wins.
