Seguin's first goal was pretty sweet Dave. Glad he got the first one out of the way already. Now Taylor Hall has to score his first tonight against Florida.

that's a cool Vachon McFarlane. it very easily could become a Jonathan Quick custom.

Seguin's goal was great! Just a tremendous flip pass by Ryder, and I loved Seguin catch it, drop it, and score. Awesome!

Regarding fights, Lucic and Jovanovski ALMOST went at it in today's game which would have been great to see. Both dropped their gloves and wrapped up, but the refs pulled them apart before either threw a punch.

As for Horton, yeah, I'm very impressed so far, and I think he's helping make Lucic better on that #1 line.

Other than yesterday's ugly first two periods, I'm pleased with the B's so far.

So why'd Karlsson get the back-up job and not Irving? Did Irving just have a poor pre-season, or Karlsson have a great one?

Karlsson was somewhat proven in the Sweedish league. He had a great preseason, and frankly, nothing much is expected of Calgary's prospect goalies except another year of playing time at the AHL level. If they are the goalies of the future, there's no reason to get 10-15 games at the NHL level when they can split time in Abbotsford.

pretty much what Jesse (Thefatguy) just said above. With Kiprusoff being the work horse that he is and that he is probably gonna play 65+ games, Flames mgt. thought it would be better for Irving to get Playing time in Abbotsford, then sit on the bench in Calgary and only play a few games. Although i wish Leland would play at least one NHL game so he could get a friggin RC, lol.
