Nice job with all the Robinsons so far. Sorry If I had missed it in the past, but are you trying to get all his big/main issue cards in EX 5?

Youve missed nothing, i just started it lol

Yes, it would be nice to get them all in PSA/BVG 5's, but if a lesser grade is cheaper, i'll grab it

Thats pretty cool, I've been doing the same thing with a few players (Blyleven, Killebrew, Ted Williams, Early Wynn, and more) Its fun to do that kind of stuff.

Unfortunetly for me I have trouble focusing on one project at a time, and thats why I've got a few dozen half completed projects as apposed to 15-20 fully completed. No one said collecting was easy

Thats awesome. I love getting great deals on sweet cards. I recently picked up a 58 Killebrew PSA 5 for just over $16 from a little shop up north. I already had it, but couldn't pass up that deal

Re: OFFICIAL- Vintage Pickup Thread.

I've wanted this card for so long, just because I think it's a beautiful card of one of my favorite players. Finally found one that met my criteria - in a slab, great eye appeal, under $100.

Now I'm thinking about a full run of Berra cards from his playing days, or maybe just all his Bowmans. Uh-oh.

For a PSA 2, that card does have nice eye appeal.
Here is mine, for comparisons.

It looks to have some rough edges, and staining/discoloration on the front. You can see it better by looking at Yogi's forehead. Thats just what I see

Very small surface wrinkle running vertically on the right side. Can't hardly see it at all. There is a light stain by top of his cap too.

Re: OFFICIAL- Vintage Pickup Thread.

That Berra looks really nice. I'll have to add it to my list of 50's cards I would like to pick up in low grade. Can't believe I've never seen that one before. Looks great for the grade.
