whatever man.. i just dont see how 95% of the people on here spend ridiculous amounts of money on guys who have never used a wooden bat. So saying a guy was good in college ball doesnt make him an instant MLB star. thanks for being a ******.

little sensitive are we??? You must be a little rebel....

I know about metal and wood bats, since I played in college and played with and against a ton of guys that are playing in the MLB.

I have NOT said he was a lock to be a stud. I said he was a known player due to his college days. He was a beast. I am not sure who will be better or not...

Oh yeah, you are a tool, mr. internet tough guy.....

You collect Melky Cabrera. Please shut the hell up.

Posey went from hitting 3 homers to 26. That's somewhat of a red flag

He was in the Cape League, and made All Star team, using wood.

if calling someone a ****** for posting something stupid makes them an 'e thug' then im guilty as charged i guess. I guess i really need to go get cool images to put in all my threads too

im too hungover to be arguing bro. I was just trying to point something out that alot of people seem to miss. I just dont get the whole prospect thing, unless someone is trying to make money.. id rather spend money on already proven stars, because chances are, their prices will only go up.

.. and i collect melky because when he first came up to the MAJORS i really liked the way he played.. he had a great attitude and I thought he would be a decent player.. looks like he is young and still needs to improve. I never picked up a single thing of his before he played a day in the majors. I never said Posey wasnt good. I just said metal and wood are 2 really different things. I dont know a thing about Posey or any other prospect or top prospect out there, never claimed i knew a thing about any of them. I just find it hard to say anyone will be good in the big show until they get there and prove something. Feel free to bash me all you guys wish, but thats the way i see it.

And Montero went from 3 to 17 homers......

Not implying anything, because I am a Montero fan. Every player that makes a jump in power is NOT on steroids. Especially in college. You see this a ton, expecially from Sophmore to Junior Seasons. Often the better players will be play in a very strong summer league, they have gained a great deal of strength from Freshman to junior years, and they have matured and grown into their bodies.....

How is what I posted stupid? You posted the wood an metal are different....
Wow, that takes a freaking genius to figure that out. Where did you figure that one out at....... Captain Obvious needed to pay a visit to your innovative ideas and opinion....

I really thought the captain obvious thing was totally unneccessary, i was just pointing out the fact that someone said he was great in college and was a lock to be a solid major league star (metal is not wood, ncaa is not the mlb).. maybe i sound stupid because i may still be half drunk from last night.. but i can see where im coming from anyways.

Research has proven that Buster Posey has IN FACT played at a high level using, gasp, wooden bats.

He was an ALL STAR in that WOODEN bat league.

You may not be a ******, but you sound like an idiot when you don't do your research.

He was also the MVP of that WOODEN bat league.

If you read back to what i wrote.. the comment was referring to someone who posted that posey was a great college player, and will be a lock to be a mlb star. I never said anything about Posey .. So, i dont have to do any research. I never said Posey was good, bad, whatever.. My comment was just saying just because someone was a college star, doesnt always mean they will excel at the major league level.

Think on the bright side.

At least Posey hasn't gotten a chance to have a great career then get permanently banned from the game for gambling after he retired and became a manager

At least he has some shot of getting elected to the Hall of Fame.

I am sick and dont feel like reading this so idk if it has been mentioned but...

5 years from now:
Posey - gold glove caliber catcher
Montero - 1b/DH

Most of Montero's value is him being a catcher.

Do you REALLY want to go there?

Nice dig to try and get under my skin, but guess what youngster? Rose not being in the HOF doesn't bother me in the least. Nor does his gambling.

He's still the all time hits leader (and probably always will be) with 4,256. He's still the all time leader in AB's, the all time leader in games played, the all time leader in singles, the ONLY player in MLB history with 500 or more games at 5 different positions, a 17 time All-Star, 3 World Series rings, 2 Gold Gloves, 1973 NL MVP, 1975 WS MVP and 1963 ROY.

Should I continue? He holds many other records as well.

Oh wait, let me end by saying...
