I think if it had been pulled it would have come up for air by now. It's still out there in a box. I don't see any other explanation. If the card wasn't autographed, I could see some kid getting it and maybe thinking it was "just another base card", but being autographed it has to have drawn some kind of attention.

Plus, not a lot of kids bust Bowman hobby. They tend to like products with players they know.

Either somebody has a plot to unload a ton of this product when the chase starts to materialize and doesn't want to disclose the card as having been pulled or it's still in a box somewhere, IMO.

You've got to figure that only, what, 30% of the people in the world who collect high end baseball cards actually post on message boards and like to share their cards with others.

It's that silent majority that owns all the other cards you've never seen before.

Heck, even those that do post on message boards don't show off all their treasures.

I'm sure each and everyone one of us here has that one or two or a hundred specials cards that you don't want anyone knowing that you own.

Maybe it is in W vault and he doesn't want anyone to know. Maybe JP has it stashed away and just laughs every few weeks when these posts pop up.
Everything is just speculation until it is seen. Still best odds are it's sitting in pack.

One of my favorite things about FCB is that every single time the Longoria super comes up, someone always throws out that "There is a store in Cooperstown that has bunch of boxes!" I don't know what the draw is of this store in Cooperstown, or their magical boxes, but it is brought up often.

Why not, they screwed up this RC with a ghost image:

Its the only super I've EVER seen with this printing error...

Its nice to know that the location or even existence of everything is not known, adds some mystery to the hobby. Perhaps the card was destroyed and no longer exists.

It's actually a not so well-known fact that the 2006 Bowman Chrome Draft Evan Longoria superfractor was an error card.

Topps accidentally replaced a photo of Longoria with a picture of an unknown minor league prospect from the Pirates organization, and it turns out, Topps actually got one of their employees to sign the card. Apparently, the prospect has even less hope of actually making it to the majors, though no one is really sure where he is at this time.

Now, presenting for the first time ever, the granddaddy superfractor of them all:

should I ask topps for a replacement? really, i'll even take a non-error Longoria red auto /5 for it. Darn Topps!

I still miss that card.

There are 10s of 1,000s of people who collect cards, open boxes/cases, buy/sell cards, and NEVER use the internet.

True, but that just means the person who owns it hasn't posted. For one of THE MOST highly sought after cards in the hobby today, I am sure someone would have seen the owner and posted about it. That is my thought on it anyways....

I for one think it is still in a box somewhere. Keep ripping guys!

Very true, but most every other Superfractor of significance has surfaced on the Internet in one way or another.
