Interesting. I wonder how many guys are going to be on the Mt Rushmore of multiple teams?

Rod Carew
Nolan Ryan

Rickey should be on 9 of them. ;)

I was reading the Dodgers one and couldn't believe he didn't make the cut!

Blue jays: Delgado, Alomar, Joe Carter, Dave Stieb, Halladay!

I added Carter not just for the homerun, but because in 7 years playing here, he had 6 100 rbi seasons.

Mariners

Ken Griffey Jr., Edgar Martinez, Ichiro, and Lou Piniella with a close 5th of Felix Hernandez

Griffey, Edgar, Ichiro, Niehaus (if you need a player, then Buhner gets the nod..)
Randy Johnson Blows away Felix..

Rays

Crawford, Huff, Longoria, Shields

Price will take Huff's place soon enough

Mine would be:

Longoria, Price, Shields and Upton

(seeing as how Crawford's no longer with the team)

Nolan could actually be on three...Astros, Rangers, and Angels

Since Crawford is the all time leader in almost all of the Rays offensive categories, I had to include him

Brewers

Yount, Molitor, Cirillo, and they thankfully just began re-chiseling Geoff Jenkins face to look like Ryan Braun
Honorable Mention: Cecil Cooper
Ted Simmons probably had too short a time compared to his St Louis days, but I grew up with baseball in the early 80's and that '82 Brewers team will always bring a smirk to my face. Freaking Gorman Thomas, Ben Oglivie, Fingers, Don Money. Just a good time.

I'd love to get Trammell onto the Tigers list too.

Phillies is actually kind of tough. Schmidt, Carlton obviously. And I'd go with Richie Ashburn and Chuck Klein.

Other candidates...Rose? Hamels, Howard, Utley, Rollins, I don't think have done quite enough. Halladay and Lee have been great but only been around a couple years and are hired guns. Go into ancient history with Magie or Delahanty? In the 70s they had all-stars all over the place but no one I'd really call Rushmore-worthy beyond the top 2. But there was a looooong drought between good years and star players.

Just so people remember, there are 4 faces on Mt. Rushmore, not 5.

Cubs:

Cap Anson
Mordecai Brown
Ernie Banks
Ryne Sandberg

Kansas City Royals:

kinda slim pickings here

George Brett
Frank White

plus some combination of 2 or 3 of the following:
Amos Otis
Willie Wilson
Hal McRae
Bret Saberhagen
Dan Quisenberry
Mike Sweeney
Dick Howser
Owner Ewing Kauffman

other guys like Carlos Beltran, Jermaine Dye, Johnny Damon, and David Cone just weren't with the team long enough.

Billy Butler has a chance after a few more years.

Yeah, but he said 4 was too tough so take as many as 5.

What about Vincent Edward Jackson? Sure his career was short, but he was a face of the franchise.
