"Ichiro" Gonzalez

I have to imagine that I'm not the only Sox fan that did a double-take after Adrian Gonzalez's swing on the 3 run Home Run last night off Sabathia.

Just found this story.....apparently it was an intentional adjustment, actually asking Francona if it was alright if he added some "Ichiro" to his swing before that at-bat. Not much more to add - just thought it was pretty cool

No you are not! I noticed it as well, but didn't think too much of it at the time.....I was too amazed at how quickly that ball made it over the OF wall!

Great adjustment IMO. CC threw fastballs in that same spot every at bat up to that point. Gonzo looked foolish his first at bat.
