Re: Scan of 1993 UD TARGET FACTORY SET /14,500...anyone know?
If you say there were 1000 stores and there were 14,500 sets made, then there's no way that could be 140 sets per store. I think you added a zero in there.
14 sets per store isn't a lot for that era.
Re: Atlanta Thrashers moving to Winnipeg?
I wish that Canadians could celebrate this without bashing Atlanta and without turning this into a nationalistic thing. This wasn't a victory for Canada, this was a loss for Atlanta that Winnipeg benefited from. And it's a shame that Canadians are more...
Monday's game is probably the most important match of the preliminary round if Hishon comes back. If Hishon is healthy, it will go a long way toward figuring out which team is the best in the tournament.
Re: Atlanta Thrashers moving to Winnipeg?
Having the Thrashers in Winnipeg isn't going to increase revenues for the league. Quite the contrary - the Canadian TV deal would be split seven ways instead of six. And the Canadian teams are the ones who are going to lose fan support over this...
Re: Atlanta Thrashers moving to Winnipeg?
Awful for the league and awful for the game.
You don't expand your brand by ditching a market sector to sell to people who are already buying your product.
The Dominion name has a history in hockey and hockey cards. I prefer it. National Treasures sounds like a Tri-Star product or some Topps pop culture dreck.
I think Missy, Owen Sound and St John all dodged a bullet when Portland was upset by Kootenay.
On paper, I'd say St John has the most talent, but they're a year from being untouchable (and if they could keep the band together for next year - which they can't - they'd hit a wall when they...
I'd love to see a hockey version of Elite Extra Edition.
Of course, the product I'd kill for is Bowman Chrome and Bowman Draft. I'd rather bust a case of 2011 Bowman NHL Draft than have sex with Olivia Munn.
I would love a product that covered the CHL more thoroughly and didn't waste time and money on AHL scrubs and washed up NHL guys. I would much rather pull a Daniel Erlich card than another sepia-toned pic of Steve Yzerman from when he was in junior. Expanding the CHL checklist would be cheaper...
Score released a lot of 98 product after they went out of business and it started turning up on KMart shelves for next to nothing in 1999. That's why still to this day, if you go to KMart and they have those mixed pack boxes, there will be some 98 score in it.
I know the KMart around me had 98...
Just the highlights -

I haven't been around much, so maybe I missed something...I thought Topps lost their NFL license. What happened to that? Is UD the only company without an NFL license now?
I felt all the packs of Heritage until I found a thick, stiff one and bought that one. Then I did the same with the Prestige football. Then the Gridiron Gear. Then I went to all the other Targets, Meijers and Wal-Marts in my area. Sure enough, they were all jerseys. I win. But it wasn't...
Wow, that is intensely juvenile. Not even five seconds in and there's a girl making reference to being "on the rag"? Seriously? That's the best you could come up with?
I'll point out that you pack-searched, and this time you even admitted it. But watch, people will come down on me as usual for pointing out when people pack-search.
Re: The Jersey Thread:Red Wings ads on practice jerseys
Yeah, Heaven forbid we ever reach the day where we pay $120 for a box and have the box hit be a Red Wings patch that isn't just red and white. A multi-color patch would be the absolute END OF THE WORLD!!!
