Pretty nice mail day. Loved looking through this lot of random Dodger stuff. There was even an extra Sandy Vance auto that was inside one of the programs. Always check books/magazines for stuff inside! s-l1600.png

A couple lots of Dukes early minor league cards with some signatures. Terry McDermott (x2) and Jerry Royster. I missed the best set the seller had though...it went for over $200! Some vintage Pacific Trading Cards 9 pocket sheets as a bonus! Won't use them, but fun item from a local legend.

Monday often becomes a massive mailday, then the rest of the week lags...

Had this, but don't mind a dupe of a 5 player auto card /15! Garvey 5 F.jpgGarvey 5 B.jpg

This is a fun one for the ANY Dodgers-related collection and cheap enough to not sweat it. Mike Brito, long time Dodger scout who some may recognize from behind the plate with the radar gun during Dodger games on TV. He passed away not that long ago. Of course, I needed to add his auto and was afraid it would be next to impossible to find. Thankfully someone thought to have him do a signing.

Not sure why I keep winning these. Probably because I am bidding at a fraction of what I used to for most and still end up winning a few here and there. This is /5

Stadium souvenir pack photo lot. I really do need to stop buying these. These were originally sold in 20 piece envelopes at the concession stands in Dodger Stadium. Most are still found as 20 photo groups. I probably have 1000 or more now from the late 50s to the early 80s when I believe they stopped making them.Dodger Photos.png

I recently picked up a few Archives of Ron Cey. I was looking for his auto from each team he played for.
I've picked up some of his stuff over the years as he graduated from my high school. (a few years before me) and that is one of the reasons I followed the Dodgers as we didn't have a major league team in Seattle until 77'.

Got this from a member of another board, CU. I have a poster, but never seen the ad. By chance, does anyone recognize the magazine? Quotable Quotes on the reverse side. Would like to find a full magazine if I could find what it is.IMG_0533.jpgIMG_0534.jpg

Last item is this years heritage Oliver. Slow to pick this up, because I am trying to wait out the earlier surges in price for everything new, that all eventually slows and drops in the price!

Can't help but grab these when they are reasonable. It's one of the lesser seen versions of these 8x10 team issued photos. Garvey 8X10 Team Issue.jpg

Some obscure mags I had never seen before, from a competitor who is liquidating. I never felt he was a huge rival, but clearly he was quicker than me or very resourceful in finding odd stuff like this! Glad to be the recipient of his past successes now. I'll take stuff like this over cards anyway. s-l1600.jpgs-l1600-2.jpgs-l1600-1.jpg

I don't get as excited for these anymore. Too many and the same cards being recycled year over year. Laziness on the part of Topps for not getting more unique cards. Eventually they will run out, as Topps only had so many unique cards made and I think they are there now!
This one is 2023 and /23. Garvey 23 Arch.jpg

This is a run I probably will not chase either. I am unsure how many different, but it is a lot and when most sellers want $5 to ship a card, buying the higher print runs and base are not worth the hassle or cost. The downside to buying singles online. This is the first one I won and it's /100. Garvey chrome red 100.jpg

A lot of 59 signed Dodgers. At about a buck a card, a definite win. Tripp Cromer in 3rd pic is one of my favorites in the lot, as he didn't have many Dodger cards in his short time in LA. There is a Nomo (pic 2), but unsure about his sig. I think that is his IP American signature, but they vary. See below, as both "certified" signatures are vastly different.

Certified Nomo Autographs that are not mine, for examples (if you can trust Leaf to be correct). s-l1600.jpgs-l1600-1.jpg

Garvey Kraft Boxes 1.pngs-l1600.jpg. All 4 variations (unless there are pasta type variations too) in unused boxes. I believe the seller was from the area where these were packaged, maybe even worked at the plant?

Buehler.jpgOne of the better and under appreciated 80s sets, 1986 Topps, remastered for the 2020s.

Two one time Dodgers in their other uniforms. I especially like to find the Archive Signature buybacks on the trophy cards, as I tried to collect that set for many years. Cool to have some certified copies. Oliver 84D.jpgAnderson trophy.jpg

Big Dodger day today!

As much as I do like to spit on Leaf, I still buy some of their stuff. This is /3 and has 8 autos on it. It was not cheap (for me). Some of you may drop 10X this in a day though. Garv 8X AU 3 F.jpgGarv 8X Au 3B.jpg

Another Garvey chrome, this one /250. Some of the colors on these cards are kind of stupid, if you ask me. Garvey Chrome 250.jpg

Finally, and again not a huge fan of relic cards any more, but this one is just pretty cool looking with that red piece. Pretty sure the only place that red piece would have come from is a jersey number and I doubt it did, so there is that. Campy GU.jpg

I believe this is considered my first superfractor, but not 1/1, of course. Alex Wood. Would have thought it would have been a Garvey, but apparently a complete moron obtained one and thinks he is going to get $500+ for it (after asking $1000+ originally).

My 2nd pristine color variation, this one blue /75. Garvey pristine 75.jpg

Connor Joe was traded to the Dodgers in late September of the 2017 season. He spent the next 1 year in the Dodgers farm system before being drafted by the reds in the Rule 5 in Dec 2018. The Reds then traded him to the Giants in March 2019 before the season began. After he had his MLB debut and played in 8 games for the Giants, he was 1 for 15 and the Giants sent him back to LA (returned for earlier draft pick), where he spent the rest of the season in AAA. Out of baseball for the entire Covid-ridden 2020 season, he became a free agent and signed with the Rockies. After a couple partial seasons in Colorado, he was traded to the pirates for the 2023 season, where he is currently playing.

He never made the Dodgers bid league club, but he did get himself a Heritage card in the 1970 set. This year, Archives captured him on a card, so now I have a Connor Joe certified autograph on a Dodger card. I do enjoy these additions almost as much as a player who did play for the team, simply because he is shown as a Dodger and was with the organization at that time. Glad I didn't overpay when someone was selling IP/TTM of this card for close to $20! I wanted one, but not that bad. Another case where patience pays off.Connor Joe 45.jpg

Another Gonsolin. Trying to get Buehler. Going for around $20+ and have lost on a dozen I bid on, but I miss bidding on one and it sells for under $10. Murphy's Law right there folks! s-l1600-2.jpg

Garvey Pink /15. s-l1600-1.jpg. EDIT - Putting this away and noticed it's 6/15! WOW...that has not happened in a long time. I guess I stopped looking as hard after losing many of the 6/xx lately. Happy to land one, by chance.

I am fairly certain I have these, but my brain wasn't registering that there were two versions. It was easier to buy the pair together than to try to find my cups and check if I did have them. Garv cuos.jpg

Garvey /25 (sealed, apparently there are raw cards from this set as was pointed out to me in another thread. Serves me right for trying to keep up with modern issues. Garv Pristine 25.jpg

I'll start out the vacation bundle with Garvey stuff...most fairly low numbered and two more jersey number match cards, that is 3 is only a couple weeks. Seems like old times for a brief moment.

3 cards numbered to 5: Garvey 3-5.jpgs-l1600-9.jpgGarvo 5.jpg
/6, this one being 6/6. Buddy Bell with 200 rips too. He probably doesn't make too many cards these days: Garv 6.jpg

/20. These have been showing up recently after a long dry spell. I HOPE it is because they are finally fulfilling redemptions! i have 3 sitting in the queue!! s-l1600-25.jpg

6/80. s-l1600-8.jpg

A few multi-player cards and then i'll need another couple posts to finish up.

I'll start with Deluca, because he is a new addition. The first for some time this season, with a bunch still on the wantlist. s-l1600-2.jpg
