I will give leaf credit for providing access to some otherwise pricy autographs with their weird designs. I didn't have Yadier and figured I better get one for the HOF collection in the event he gets the nod. Of course, trying to win multiple cards and this happens. You win multiple cards and they are the same card! /8. I typically am perfectly fine with dupes. prefer not to spend a lot on them though. As long as Leaf doesn't water down the supply too much, it's not a bad dupe to have.

Mays redemption. just need F. Robby & Mondesi, assuming they exist.

Montanez heritage. His vintage cards seem harder to find signed, although clearly he is signing recently for Topps.

Always nervous with standard trading card shipping, but deemed this one not worth the $5+ shipping. It took a bit longer than normal and I was starting to worry it might not arrive.

This is actually a pretty cool design. Topps/OPC CFL

Another lot of hostess panels. Wish i could find more I actually need, but when they are cheap, i'll take dupes. Shorted 1 panel (with Stargell), which was one I need. It had the wrong title, but the photo was of the panel I needed. I'll probably not get that one.

I think many of us go down rabbit holes to find things. I know I do all the time. i see or think of something and it leads my brain to other things. Next thing you know, I am searching for something I would never have naturally sought out. This happened when I stumbled onto a 1994 UD Alex Rodriguez auto. I really like the older certified autographs, 1990-1994 range especially, before we started getting entire subsets and products with one per pack autos. I also wish I would have tried to track down a few more before it got to be prohibitively expensive for many. I have a decent chunk and I am happy about that, but for example the Ted Williams & Walter Payton UD heroes, anything Mantle or the Pinnacle DiMaggio among others are all securely out of my reach now. By reach, I mean what I would tolerate to pay for them, knowing I could afford most of them if I really wanted to blow some cash.

Fast forward to todays mail call and I end up with 3 early Arod autos on the same day. I already had the 4 Sport, forgot and made an offer that got accepted. Oh Well. I do worry a little with Arod, as I have seen some "promo" autos that look pretty convincing, but can't find much info on them. I am generally feeling pretty good with the certified cards with the backs or holograms, but even that stuff can be faked. I always try to find bargain copies in the event I do find a bad one. This one has some "waves" in the surface of the card, maybe from moisture? The signature looks odd to me, so maybe the original signature faded or washed off and it was resigned or forged? i figure i would take a gamble and won't be out a ton if it turned out to be bad.

Also ended up with 2 Brooks Robinson's today as well.

A lot of Boston Bruins. I don't collect hockey much at all, but couldn't pass up a bargain on a lot.

Finally a couple Marty Cordova SR cards. I did like that design when these cards came out in 95. they are very cheap too, a bonus.

Love that Pesky. I saw the listing before you bought it but couldn't bring myself to spend that much on that player. I figured you had probably bought it though, lol

In a moment of desperation I did. I had it valued around $150. Had just sold a few things so really only paid half in my mind but still an overpay for sure.

2003 Upper Deck Finite #375 Hideki Matsui Tier 4 Rookie Card #d 55/150 -- He has 50 different rookie issues from 2003, this one is the most limited of the base issues. (Leaf Limited is /99 but two versions Home and Away -- total run of 198). The Finite set has a few Matsui inserts, but no parallels. Level 1 RC are /1299, Level 2 /599, Level 3 /299, and Level 4 /150 is the toughest. Actually, my third copy of these particular card, couldn't pass up one that was jersey numbered to 55/150
