but am not going to read this whole thread....

Why not?

If you've read one Razor thread, you've read them all. Razor haters, Razor backers, over emotional mods on the subject....

And that is why everyone of these threads go way too many pages long and it is the same 'ol same 'ol from both sides of the argument.

They get old.

It just bugs me that I purchased 6 of these Metal's w/o and worry or concern and there are instigators (INSTIGATORS!!!) who haven't bought a single Razor box or single who add fuel to the ever burning fire.

Maybe those who are seen as pests to you (those that you would like to say "STFU") are the ones that make your 6 purchases more valuable one day because their pestering ensures that the extra cards get destroyed.

If they are pestering to purposely be annoying then that is wrong. If they are questioning to make sure problems from the past don't happen again, then kudos.

But we have already been told numerous times by Brian that the cards would be destroyed, probably at the National. We can't get any more information than that because there isn't any.

It comes to a point when stupidity or simply to pester become the only reasons for asking the same questions over and over or making the same coments over and over.

I guess people just need to decide if they are stupid or annoying...some are both.

Well, if Razor would update there site I wouldn't be posting in this thread.

The post regarding the press plates was in reference to some causing problems that have never purchased a Razor product.

I broke up those plates and had them signed.

So people who don't agree with you are stupid and shouldn't post what they think. May I see your badge Razor police?

Ahhh, one of the guys that fall in the both categories.

I'm not surprised that you didn't understand.

I could care less if someone disagrees with me. I was simply making fun of those who ask the same exact questions and make the same exact comments, over and over, in every single razor thread.

You are one of them, so you know what I'm talking about.

But i dont think that means anything as of right now. They are up for another 4 weeks. No real reason to pick them up today rather than in a few weeks

In regards to the potential for "back dooring" of the cards that aren't sold...it definitely opens up the potential of concern.

However, all indications are that Brian is indeed planning on bringing a shredder to the National so people can either watch or help in the demise of the unsold singles.

Is it a guarantee? No, but at this point we don't even know how many (if any) will remain unsold. Keep in mind, Beckett hasn't touched this release yet so expect a surge when Beckett runs an article. And all joking aside, Beckett still remains the "hobby leader" even though we have FCB as a result of a mutiny and their price guide remains a farce.

My question is... will these base cards retain their value after the parallels and such come out... even if few are destroyed of that card

I've not read the entire thread, but from a majority of the posts it seems like the same damn bickering that always goes on.....

I do have a real question though, has it been said when the parallels will be listed on ebay and how exactly they will be listed? I think I saw something about listing all of one parallel at the same time, how would that work without 25 auctions of the same card going at the same time, or is that the only way?

Thanks.

Understand that the two parallels are limited to 50 and 25.

Do Bowman Chrome singles still have value due to the existence of Gold and Orange Refractors?

Basically, we are talking about a limited number of parallels that shouldn't "flood the market", and therefore not affecting the price.

Im sure if Ebay had a proper search function I could. However, your statement leads to the homerism effect this site has for Razor. To be honest, I have nothing against them and I think their product looks nice. However, the situation of the mods and admins on this site constantly giving them a reach around effect dosent help them out at all. Trying to stiffel people from pointing out flaws will not help them out. The simple fact remains that most people have not heard of Razor. I only heard of them because of poker cards and thus led to me learning about baseball cards. However, I did not learn this from their website. I was one of the people who stumbled onto their site and was not given hardly any information as to what they are about. I learned from this specific site and no where else on the internet. Their sales in my opinion and to most of the people who have seen the sales of the Oval Office, are falling short of expected pricing. In my opinion the sites admins/mods/complete razor followers, are doing a disservice to Razor by constantly telling them they are doing everything right and nothing is wrong.

You are reading much too far into my statement. I was asking for examples simply for the reason that I believe it is far too easy to say "sales have been dissapointing" and not qualify why or give examples of dissapointing sales. If it is a fair statement then fine but saying it without evidence is just making an assumption. To go even further, calling me a homer for asking for evidence is worse. I've been very critical of Razor's recent moves with Chrome cards as have many other mods, so don't overblow the homerism thing.

By the way, here's an example I found.

[ebay:3aevi67s]290295823437[/ebay:3aevi67s] - Tyler Razor - $1,010
[ebay:3aevi67s]110353026199[/ebay:3aevi67s] - Tyler Topps - $565

Now maybe there are examples of bad sales out there, I just would like to see them.

You have to look at price vs. cost. Same thing for Exquisite autos Vs. Base Topps auto of the same numbering. Tyler Razor auto came from a ~$2000/card product. Tyler Topps Auto came from a ~$2/pack product. Profit potential is a bigger factor than ending prices. As I stated in another thread, the fact that the HIGHEST possible profit margin from a 1 of a kind collectable is only about 6 times your investment shows that Razor has not taken off, or it just shows their product was way over priced. Even if you went off of the $1500 intial sell sheet, 10 times profit margin from such a card is still quite horrible. Maybe I havent seen the places where the "Blue and Red" names have been critical, but I have seen alot of them where they are being unjustly nice to Razor. Im sure thats there to protect an investment, but I dont think it helps the company.

This makes absolutely no sense at all. So what would you rather have...1) A Lebron James 2003/04 Ultimate Collection Ultimate Signatures Insert Auto which sells for $350 or 2.) Lebron James 2003/04 Upper Deck RC Exclusives Insert Auto which sells for $350? One came from a $4 pack and one came from a $100-$150 pack. The bottom line is, an auto is an auto, a cut is a cut with very very very very very very very very very very very very very few exceptions.
