Recent slab pickups / grading

While I'm down to just 5 cards within completing the entire 2004 Ultimate run, the 2005 Ultimate year is annoyingly not even half way , due partly to its sheer popularity in the collecting arena. This being said- knocked another one off the list

I paid back a debt, and payback took 15 months but its done- and she's here
Will be crossed over into a BGS slab ASAP

So I added a knick knack slab to my 2005 Topps Pristine. A while back in
this post I had shown off the rare pieces

Anyways- just added a base uncirculated piece that was his jersey # back in Feb 2023, and the Bronze Uncirculated Jersey piece below that just came back

Added more serial number, die cut and base items to my Clemens registry
Slowly accumulated these over the last 16 months and just now scanning them all
Added 3 to my 2005 Prime Cuts, a 2004 Studio Die Cut, and another Spectrum card for 2005 Throwback Threads
I also subbed a bunch of game used from the "condition" piles that should come back end of month
Expect to see a barrage of posts and slabs soon as insurance girl is next
I intend on lowering my insurance bill by completing this inventory scanning project by year end

I'll be posting in the pick up thread as well as I sold several hundred dollars worth of cards, paid some bills,
and for the first time in a year and a half actually bought 2 cards for the stash

2008 UD HEROES JERSEY PIECES

Back in this post above I posted about some of my jersey pieces slabbed from 2008 Upper Deck Heroes. Got some base item colors just back. Since some are serial numbered = fits into my slab scheduled methodology. Generally base items are LAST on my send in lists. Serial numbers though are part of level 3 priority stuff

Not happy with that Black. I certainly did not mail that card with the bent crinkle corner - that is for certain
I dont send in card corners that look like french fries. Guess I'll have to find or buy another and mail one in again
I'll file that returned condition issue in the brain for now ,and see if it becomes a problem like PSA's been having

BTW you have any Near Mint or better serial # items from this set= see me= I'll buy them ALL provided they are not crinkle cuts like the black


FYI @Shaggy - your system is NOT properly inserting links. Instead of inserting at the point I'm trying to, goes all the way back to the far left of the page . Can we fix it so it doesnt remind me of somewhere else's POS chat pages? ?

I'm wanting them to be wherever they are in the sentences I write. Up until roughly 2 months ago anywhere I shoved the linked words they stayed. It's only been in the last couple of months on my desktop that the system shoves it all the way left no matter what I do

See the pic below from several months ago- I inserted it midway through, stayed there.
I could even write words after the link and it didn't affect it
I try that now -this system is shoving it all the way left for some reason

2008 UD HEROES JERSEY PIECES 2nd attemptFor example- I will try the same link I tried above -see what it just did ?? All the way left when I had it being inserted mid-sentence. Here- will try again . See what it just did? Put it all the way back to the front of first link.

I am a desktop user- barely ever post mobile.

Couple weeks before I showed off the 2003 Upper Deck stuff. Here's a few colored slabs I missed scanning
Both serial numbered knick knack slabs. Also 3-4 base items missed on prior scanning from prior scanned years
I did just get in a single slab in from 2005 National Pastime though ,so I re-scanned my Blue Foil item as well
Sometimes just one slab coming back though (the Patch) brings big smiles

Lots of scanning today and packing out . Tons of old orders came unstuck June 16th and everything coming back all at once
Buried in slabs with BGS & PSA , gonna take a day off soon to cope with the backlogs

A couple months ago showed off a few MLB Showdown items- got more back recently
Need to now find me a bunch of foils and a few promos. Got more slabs in the pipeline
Decent grades- but I missed some surface spotting on that 2000 Unlimited Foil
3 easy to spot surface flaws - meh- will send in another and upgrade
Did horrible on the the base High Heat weeks ago -almost got a Gem on the Foil version this time

Also back from the grading room was my card(s) from this series

This series of cards came from a McDonalds Happy Meal promotion in my area of CT and NYC
Dozens of unopened packs etc to dig out . Can't believe its already been 20 years since this promo
Feels like I just went there yesterday for the meals !!

Also dug up my Beckett Magazines for further info on it ( Sept 2003 issue with Dontrelle Willis cover)

So back in this post I previewed my 2005 Artifacts subset. Recently sent in 2 new for slabbing= one is now back.
Added the Rainbow Red to the slab pile. My Artifacts Patch is still out will update when it returns

Also added another 2001 Elite item to the slab pile. These yellow Elites just never were my fancy. I think the colors too bright

Anyways- some adds to my Nomar PSA registry that I've basically let sit 2 years

The Elite Aspirations an upgrade on my own self subbed PSA 8 so I'll sell the 8
Pop 2 with none higher and based on what I've seen lately gonna be tough to nail a 10

None too thrilled I didn't catch it personally when I saw my order info

Some more slabs back and in the Nomar Master set queue over at PSA
Seems like everything serial numbered I own has to hit the "add to composite" queue first and then I can see it in the Master registry

The Throwback I bought on Becketts Marketplace for my Clemens registry- until it came in
No brainer that it was gonna be in my Garciaparra Master PSA registry ( plus I'll add to Clemens & Fisk PSA registries I have anyways)

If you've graded with PSA lately you'll see a lot more PSA 7 and 8's come back due to grading standard changes
So any PSA 9 and 10's- well deserved if this AI system's resuts are to be believed
Frankly I'm keeping my opinion to myself on what I think of their AI "grading system" nowadays

Scanned some newly slabbed ( within the last year) Nomars and updated a bunch of registry scans
I also purchased 2 new Nomars should be here next week
Strangely 1 of the 1998 LRS went in= the other needs to have a new slot created ( so I'm up to 25 slot requests now)
