Looks like Marlins are going to trade him and I am a strong supporter of not trading with teams within your division so:

Dodgers get Dan Uggla

Marlins get Chris Withrow and another B level prospect

or

Rockies get Dan Uggla

Marlins get Nolan Arenado and Sam Deduno

The Marlins would be idiots to trade him for Withrow ::facepalm::

Agreed. I think Uggla could definitely get a better prospect from the Dodgers than Withrow.

There is no way the Rockies deal Arrenado for Uggla.

Uggla is the most ****** around player in MLB for the past five seasons.

Both of those deals are unlikely. I wish they could get arenado but I think thats giving up to much to get uggla from the rockies point of view. Are there any rumors out there atm?

Ross has been trying to recruit Uggla to SF. I could see:
To Giants:
Uggla/minor prospect

To Marlins:
Jonathan Sanchez/minor prospect

or

a couple prospects not named Belt, Neal, Brown or Wheeler.

no way they get uggla without giving up one of them.

They have more prospects than them. Jorge Bucardo, Tommy Joseph, Peguero and Stoffel.

No way the Giants are giving up Sanchez, a hard throwing LHP that lead the league in hitter BA and had one of the lowest ERA's in the league. Sanchez looks a lot like a young Randy Johnson, wild but effective and when he figures it out he will be even more unhittable. Plus, the Giants have a second baseman in Freddy Sanchez, no need for the constantly struggling Uggla with Derosa coming back and the possible resigning of Uribe.

Marlins have zero leverage.

They have time as leverage. He's under club control for next season. If they don't like an offer, they can wait til trade deadline.

His surplus value right now sits around 12 million which would warrant a Top 50 pick easily or a package of replacement players at that value. Half a season and it quickly goes in half.
